so my closest friends left around a year ago, almost in exodus. i don’t miss them. because at any time, like last week, we cross paths and remember why we care; we remember who we were when we met, and we remember what we gave each other, and what the point really is, and what we’re fighting for. and for lack of a better word, that’s gorgeous. because we’re infinite. wherever we are in the world we’ll manage to entangle again. but this cafe, i can return to. but it won’t ever be what i’ve left.
