Leaving Room

Leaving room: an opportunity for growth.

Today is my 34th birthday and I’ll be spending most of the day participating in a seminar hosted by the United Methodist Women on mass incarceration. Lead by three of my dynamic colleagues at the CCUN (Church Center for the United Nations), I’m running over with gratitude that my birthday will be spent learning about this work.

Beyond Room

BA just peruse "Room," by Emma Donoghue and haven't been able to stop thinking about what happens when Room opens. I suspect that the Three Weeks upon Mourning that begin with the Seventeenth of Tammuz, from the coming into being of Room till the destruction of the Temple, are for us to nucleus in relation to our adjustment to Outside: How exceedingly of Intermediate space did we take with us? Was the loss pertinent to Room a painful motivational adjustment on something better? What upon Room do we misapprehension?<\p>

Are we trying to recreate Room in Outside?<\p>

Life in the Jerusalem Room was not a perfect environment, fair-minded as Jewish life in the cities and villages across Europe was not paradise.
