The simplest muesli. I know this cereal can be quite pricey in the supermarket, so I decided to try making my own. I know what goes in it, where it’s been…and it’s cheaper… Considering I can make a whole lot more than what comes in a small bag at the store. Here’s how I made it…
Blueberry Muesli: Oats Puffed Kamut Puffed Millet Puffed Corn Flax Seeds Coconut Flakes Fresh blueberries (optional.. And you can add any kind of fruit you’d like…fresh or dried, doesn’t matter)
None of these ingredients are sweetened or have sugar added to them. And, there is no limit to how much of them you include. To your heart’s content! :)
What I’d do differently next time: Leave out the puffed corn. It sticks to my teeth. Arghh!
What I like to add: Fruits Natural sweeteners like agave nectar, honey, molasses or even stevia. I like to steer clear of the sugar! ;-)
Hope you get to make some of your own! It’s fun. It’s enjoyable. It’s more affordable. It lasts longer… Because it makes more (as long as you buy the whole sale versions of the ingredients).
Have fun! ;-)
