        “    you  know,  with  how  karyna  was  prattling  on,  i  expected  a  broken  arm,  or  at  least  a  concussion.    but  you  look  pretty  intact,  almost,    ”    ivan  teases,  making  himself  comfortable  in  his  brother’s  apartment.    there  could  be  worse  places  to  move  to  than  tokyo,  he  supposes.    “    mind  telling  me  what  i’ve  missed  ?    ”        @lecnid​.

“ i know i should be asking karyna this, but you’re the only one here. why do you think it ended between them ? karyna and the french king ?  was it like this for you too ? did she disappear and then wallow ? i’m trying not to overcompensate, but maybe my husband’s approach is better, he’s introducing her to people every chance he gets. i just worry if i do that it’ll seem like she’s a burden i’m dumping on someone else. nothing i do will seem right. ”   rare for her to be this transparent, but family is family. a hand passes over her forehead with a sigh.  “ i’m sorry you don’t have to answer all that, i don’t expect you to know everything, i’m tired. i can only imagine how exhausted she is. ”  and fanni actually has to consider the prospect of bouncing back.  [ @lecnid​ ]

          Scout weaved through the crowd, a drink in either of her hands as she made her way back to the table. “Here,” she said, pushing one of the glasses towards Michael as she took a seat across from him. “So, after the wedding, I realized - we haven’t talked much. And you’re family, regardless of what’s going on with Parker.” She took a quick sip of her drink and smiled. “So, yeah. Let’s talk.” { @mchaeleicn​ }
