Hi Jasper! As much as I love a traditional wax candle, they're not always feasible in my household since we have a cat that feels that any surface he can reach is fair game (and since he can get to the top of the refrigerator, that means no flat surface is safe from him.) Do you think that electric candles can be used in spells like regular candles?
It depends on what you're using the candle for!
If you're using it for the smoke, wax, or heat, or if you're using it because the burning down of the candle is important to the spell, then no.
However, if you're using it to represent the element of fire or for the light? I see no reason why LED candles can't be used.
Here are a couple posts for your musing!

So these little guys are on amazon, they are led color changing candles. They come with a little remote with a bunch of colors, modes to flicker the colors (like a real candle!!!) and even a timer for those tricky spells that tell you to “let it go out on its own”. Plus they won’t burn your house down if you leave them alone in a different room. They have seriously changed the game for me. No wax run off either so your altar cloth (if you use one) doesn’t get all icky.
How can I do candle magic with my LED tealights? Any advice for candle magic without actual fire?
Ah, yes, fire magic without literal fire. LED candles are wonderful!
On account of not having the brain to put together sentences (gee thanks period-induced headache), I'll instead link some posts where I and some other folks have talked about LED candles in magic! (It took me three tries to spell magic. I need to go lay down.)

what are the best flameless taper candles
When it comes to the best flameless taper candles, I always find myself drawn to those that truly capture the essence of a real candle—soft, flickering light without the worry of an open flame. What I love most about flameless taper candles is how they effortlessly add elegance and warmth to any setting. Whether it’s for a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or just a cozy evening, they create the perfect ambiance.
For me, the best ones are those with a realistic flicker and a warm, gentle glow. MelloKZ's flameless taper candles are a favorite, offering a natural, lifelike flame effect that makes them nearly indistinguishable from real candles. With features like long-lasting batteries and easy-to-use timers, they add a touch of sophistication to any space without the mess or worry. They’re perfect for creating a serene, peaceful atmosphere—just like the soft glow of candlelight should be.
🕯️ How to Change the Battery in Your Candle Remote🔋
Is your LED candle remote not working? No worries! Changing the battery is quick and easy, and it’ll have your candles flickering again in no time. Here’s how to do it:
Find the Battery Compartment: Look for a small compartment on the back of your candle remote. It may be secured with a small screw or simply a snap-on cover.
Open the Compartment: If there’s a screw, use a small screwdriver to remove it. If it’s a snap-on cover, simply slide or pop it open.
Remove the Old Battery: Take out the old battery carefully. Make sure you dispose of it properly according to your local guidelines.
Insert the New Battery: Place the new battery in the compartment, ensuring it’s aligned with the correct polarity (the positive side should face the correct direction).
Close the Compartment: Put the cover back on and secure it with the screw if needed. Your remote should be good to go!
Changing the battery in your candle remote will ensure you keep enjoying the warm, flickering light of your LED candles! 🔋🕯️
