LED's OMFG
LED was a new company for me, so I wasn't sure what to expect going into New Year's Eve. The Venue (San Diego Sports Arena) was great, logistics well done, sets were epic: 2012 couldn't have had a better beginning.
We Didn't get there in time for most of R3hab, but managed to get front (literally) & center for MADEON, the 17-year-old French prodigy, in his first performance at a massive in the United States. He rocked the house, nodding to his French predecessors by dropping songs from Daft Punk and Solveig. Check these out below:
♬ Alphabeat - DJ (Madeon Remix)
♬ Martin Solveig & Dragonette ft. Idoling - Big in Japan
Hardwell was on at midnight, hit as hard as one would imagine. His remix of this older Tiesto gem is an absolute ssssslap: ♬ Tiesto ft. BT - Love Comes Again (Hardwell)
Porter Robinson played possibly the best set that I have ever seen live; the energy level was OUT OF CONTROL....this kid is living the dream.....the most impressive party was the bassline in a remix of Who is Ready to Jump, the best quality video I can find is from his previous set that evening in Texas, Check out the drop at 2:00 below:
Fedde le Grand ended the night with the right vibe, the very last song from his set, below:
♬ Fatboy Slim- Praise You (Fedde le Grand Remix)
(View from the back of the arena)
Happy 2012 everyone :) -TACH
This New Years was the best I've ever had, I'm glad that I didn't let myself think too much about what's been happening lately. Good vibes with greats friends. I only with a couple other people could have been there, other than that it was perfect.
