oh, how the swan was skeptical. she looked at the woman with a calculating gaze as she hid in the bushes just near the lake. the moon was almost at it's peak. it was nearly time for her to get on the still waters. the woman before her was stunning, with ebony locks that cascaded past her shoulders and an steely emerald gaze that, somehow, was as soft as her words.
odette was hard pressed to trust someone she didn't know, but not just anyone could find swan lake. the princess was unsure if that was by design, by fate or purely the magic that this lake carried.
with a sigh, the swan decided to trust her human heart, not the animal instincts of a swan. this woman seemed trustworthy. she seemed . . . kind, and odette was desperate for some sort of human interaction. her nightly bickering with rothbart hardly counted. slowly, the white bird emerged from the bushes — her pure white feathers seeming to shimmer in the light. her gaze was still hesitant, and she watched the woman as she moved so carefully, ready to fly away at a moment's notice.
" it . . . " the words caught in her mouth for a moment. a talking swan would surely startle some people — but this woman did not deserve to be caught up in the dangers of swan lake. odette could tell. " it is dangerous here, miss. please take caution roaming these woods. "

"The way you dance is incredible!" Rapunzel exclaimed, visage alight with a bright smile. The sincerity of her words evident pon sun-kissed complexion.
"I like dancing too .... but my skills pale in comparison to yours. Think you could teach me a few moves sometime?" she asked with a cant of her head.

"Ooh caught me." Sheepishly she rubs the back of her neck. "Though from the sounds of it, I've done a pretty good job making my point though, yeah?"
Ah, now that's not as smooth as could be. Win some, lose some. She considers herself lucky that she got that one good (in her humble opinion is was decent) line. Could have been worse and she's been on both ends of abysmal flirting attempts. "Dinner? I think I can be persuaded with food. I'm sure whatever you cook up will be nova."
" i'm not that great at dancing, @lednce but i'm willing to learn." / sc. ♡
