weather: what do you love most?
my family, whether biological or found! i don’t have a ton of really close friends so i really treasure the ones i do have.
dove: how do you express love?
my love languages are physical touch, words of affirmation, and quality time and that really is how i express it. i just really love spending time with people. when i spend time with my closest friends, we don’t even have to be doing something together; it’s just enough to be hanging out in the same room together. regularly scheduled time with my friends is super important for me; for example, my cohort and me are doing takeout and drinks and playing assasin’s creed: odyssey on friday nights. we’ll talk about school but we don’t do any school work and it’s a time i guard religiously as a no school zone and it’s literally the best part of my week! it also helps me walk the line between i as an introvert need human interaction but also a lot of space. acts of service and gift giving are not really how i want to be loved, but i will do both for people that i care about! my friends know that they have really made it when i buy them birthday gifts (i want them to be good so i’m usually pretty picky about who i buy for bc i would rather do nothing than force myself to buy something subpar).
loveseat: describe your ideal house.
this is also really hard bc i just rented my first apartment back in july (and it isn’t done yet) so i’m still figuring out whay exactly my style is. i talk a little bit about what i envisioned my dream apartment looking like here but! lots of windows, hardwood floors, would love some exposed brick. i’m kind of sort of designing my apartment around the color scheme in my quilt, which is white, blue, brown, and a dark red, although i also have a lot of black. i think white minimalist themes are cool but i would never want to live in something like that. my vibe is 100% clean but homey and lived in. i want color and character! i’m not a super materialistic person, but i do collect knicknacks that either i have bought or that people have given to me, which i love! i also really like engaging with the local art scene, so when i moved to philly, i bought a lot of my apartment decorations from local artists and vendors! which i love but does mean that it is more difficult to make a coherent plan for what i want my place to look like beforehand. i want a BIG kitchen with granite countertops. oddly enough, i don’t have strong opinions about a dishwasher. i have a really decent sized kitchen (for a philly apartment), but i would love to have some more room! a kitchen island (which i got spoiled with growing up)! i don’t love cooking, so i want that space to be as nice as possible. i’ve also started the collection already, but i want PLANTS! and maybe even a garden! also an office and an entire room for books! plz! and enough bedrooms that i could have guests! and a covered front porch with a rocking chair and a hammock! i do not currently own a tv although i might like to in the future, but i also love having an entertaining space that isn’t centered around a tv (one of my friends here doesn’t have a tv and her living room is one of my fave spaces ever). i’m not sure i really care about what the outside of my house looks like, but i would like something with character. mayhaps a barnyard house? really just something that has some character but still looks clean and sharp if that makes sense?
stargaze: celebrity crush?
i’m going to be honest, i simply do not keep up with celebrities enough to really have one
hot cocoa: three things you love about yourself.
2. i like to think that i’m good at making people laugh!
3. i give good advice/am an excellent sympathetic ear
succulent: what are you looking forward to?
oh, tough question. things are...not the best rn. i am going home in a couple of weeks though and i will be home until my spring semester starts. that will come with its own challenges, but i will get to spend time with my younger sister (who i simply have not gotten to watch grow up pretty much at all), help out with our foster dogs, and meet the newest foster dog my family adopted!
roadtrip: where is the furthest you’ve ever been from home?
probably corinth when i was working on an archaeological excavation back in 2018!
