The Show Must Go On:
The wood of the stage groaned under their weight. They knew it would. They'd been here several times, learned each of its quirks. Chair 16 on row W had been broken for almost 3 years. The trapdoor on the stage had a 15 foot drop straight down. The costume room door had a tendency to get stuck so you had to leave the door cracked if you wanted to go in. The stage still had a blood stain if you looked close enough
Most importantly, the curtains were ancient and far from fire proof...

I dont know why I expected things to fix themselves when I quit. I genuinely hoped that things would just go back to normal but I barely know what that means anymore.
On the bright side... New year New me or whatever...
