Mile 147
I haven't written in a while. For a little bit, everything was the same with me and I didn't really have much to write about besides my every day life which, honestly, isn't that exciting. But now a few things have changed regarding my health. My Endometriosis seems to be under control. The Mirena IUD is doing a pretty good job. I bled maybe a little less than a month ago though, which was still pretty painful but the period itself was VERY light. I only bled for... 4 or 5 days and after the first couple, the pain slowly went away. That is the only bad thing I can say about it. Well, I seem to be having a bit of an acne issue but that I can deal with! However, my UC is... a bit more complicated. I swear, it's like a ping pong game between my major diseases. When one is fine the other is like "My turn!" and starts fucking with me. I've been bleeding and having a ton of mucous in my stool and I've been having more diarrhea than I would like to. Obviously none would be ideal but at least I still have SOME solid bowel movements. So I am going to see my Gastro soon to talk about it. I really hope my Humira is still working and that it's something else, that I don't need to find a new medication because I really like Humira, it doesn't give me nasty side effects like most of the meds I've been on. Besides all of that, I won't be able to see my Primary until April. My appointment got pushed back for some reason and that's... not good. It's REALLY hard to get my meds refilled without actually seeing her because no one at that office seems to do it right. We call, leave a message about the meds and that I need another prescription cause the refills ran out, and then nothing. No calls back or anything because either no one heard it or something. It's frustrating. The phones there are a hassle too and it's almost impossible to get through to the office. So yea, just resting a lot and playing video games and trying not to overexert myself too much. This Christmas has been the most activity I've done in a LONG time because my sister came to visit, which was extremely amazing and made me very very happy! And I am pretty proud that I only had to stay home for ONE day, when there was an activity planned, because of my UC. I did pretty well, had to take my pain meds at times but not nearly as much as I was fearing I might have to. So I'm very happy about that and I'm just happy that I got to spend time with my sister again! I missed her so much! And thank you, body, for not acting up too badly! Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any holiday you celebrate(d) during the break and onward till New Years! <3
