Chaos is a woman named Sunset
I went to see her, that redhead, with a chip to display, the very same he hadon the very first day we met,She was nosing around, gathering intel and presenting a front,Ego unbound,as we read cards in late May,This time I presented mixed vibrations, though she was a calm before the storm, ticking away the seconds, this bomb anxiously, without the shell. So I asked her about him again, seeing the books…
The Philosophy of Luciferianism
Luciferianism is a philosophy that regards the figure of Lucifer as a symbol of enlightenment, knowledge, individual freedom, and self-determination. Unlike traditional Satanism, which often emphasizes rebellion against established moral orders, Luciferianism tends to focus on the pursuit of intellectual and spiritual growth, viewing Lucifer as a guiding figure who embodies curiosity, wisdom, and the quest for personal truth. Luciferian philosophy can be both theistic and non-theistic, with some adherents viewing Lucifer as a deity, while others see him as an archetype or metaphor.
Core Principles of Luciferianism
Knowledge and Enlightenment: Central to Luciferian philosophy is the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. Lucifer is viewed as a bringer of light (from the Latin lux, meaning light), akin to the Greek figure Prometheus who brought fire and knowledge to humanity. This focus on enlightenment encourages critical thinking, exploration, and the rejection of ignorance and dogma.
Self-Determination and Individual Freedom: Luciferians emphasize autonomy and personal sovereignty, advocating for self-empowerment and self-actualization. They believe in cultivating one’s own ethical standards rather than conforming to externally imposed doctrines. This aligns with existentialist values, where individuals are seen as responsible for creating their own purpose and meaning.
Spiritual and Personal Growth: Luciferianism values the transformation of the self through continuous personal growth, knowledge, and introspection. It often promotes a balance between intellectual and spiritual pursuits, encouraging individuals to reach their fullest potential and embrace inner strength. This path is sometimes referred to as the “Left-Hand Path,” which focuses on self-empowerment rather than adherence to external spiritual authorities.
Symbolism of Lucifer as Light-Bringer: Lucifer represents illumination, challenging boundaries, and questioning authority. Rather than embodying evil, as in traditional Christian narratives, Lucifer is seen as a force that promotes liberation from ignorance and encourages individuals to seek truth beyond conventional beliefs.
Respect for Nature and Balance: Some branches of Luciferianism advocate for a balanced relationship with nature, emphasizing the importance of natural cycles and personal harmony. This outlook may include principles like respecting the natural world, cultivating inner strength, and aligning oneself with broader forces in the universe.
Theistic vs. Non-Theistic Luciferianism
Theistic Luciferians: Theistic followers view Lucifer as an actual deity or spiritual being who symbolizes knowledge, guidance, and personal liberation. For them, Lucifer serves as a model or mentor figure, encouraging them to strive for enlightenment and reject oppressive doctrines.
Non-Theistic Luciferians: Non-theistic practitioners see Lucifer as a metaphor or archetype rather than a literal entity. For them, Lucifer represents the ideal of intellectual freedom and self-empowerment. Non-theistic Luciferians typically approach their beliefs philosophically, using Lucifer as a symbol for humanistic ideals, autonomy, and rational inquiry.
Key Philosophical Themes in Luciferianism
Rejection of Dogma and Orthodoxy: Luciferians reject rigid doctrines and believe in questioning established norms and beliefs. This emphasis on critical inquiry positions them as seekers of truth who value evidence, reason, and personal experience over blind faith.
Responsibility and Ethics: While rejecting traditional morality, Luciferians often advocate for a code of ethics based on personal integrity, respect for others, and the promotion of individual well-being. They see ethics as a personal journey, and moral values as self-determined rather than dictated by an external source.
Balance Between Light and Shadow: Luciferians recognize the duality of light and shadow within oneself. This philosophy encourages embracing all aspects of one’s nature, including both strengths and weaknesses, to achieve inner harmony and self-mastery. This perspective aligns with psychological theories of the “shadow self” and the importance of integrating suppressed parts of one’s personality.
Cultural and Symbolic Influence of Luciferianism
Luciferianism’s symbols and themes resonate with literature, art, and cultural movements that value individual freedom, intellectual exploration, and challenges to conventional authority. This influence has roots in the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods, where the pursuit of knowledge was seen as a means to overcome ignorance and societal constraints.
In literature, Luciferian themes are present in works like Paradise Lost by John Milton, where Lucifer is depicted as a tragic, defiant figure who chooses autonomy over subservience. The figure of Lucifer, thus, becomes an inspiration for philosophical independence and self-awareness.
Controversies and Misinterpretations
Due to its association with Satan in Christian theology, Luciferianism is often misunderstood or conflated with Satanism. However, while both philosophies emphasize individualism, Luciferians focus on personal growth and enlightenment rather than on explicit rebellion or opposition. This distinction underscores Luciferianism’s constructive approach to self-empowerment, as opposed to Satanism’s emphasis on defiance.
Luciferianism and Modern Spirituality
In contemporary spirituality, Luciferianism appeals to those who seek an alternative to mainstream religion, especially individuals who value personal autonomy and intellectual exploration. Many Luciferians are attracted to meditation, philosophical reflection, and symbolic rituals that focus on self-realization and understanding of the inner self.
Summary
Luciferianism is a philosophy of enlightenment, self-determination, and intellectual freedom. With Lucifer as a symbolic figure of illumination and wisdom, it encourages adherents to pursue knowledge, reject dogma, and take responsibility for creating their own path. It emphasizes personal growth, critical thinking, and a balanced approach to understanding the self, making it a path for those who seek inner empowerment and spiritual independence.
Baphomet
Demonic god of transformation, fruition, fertility, libertinism, and wisdom attained through indulging the senses
There are times when deities are able to create other gods by merging some of their energy with another deity’s energy. This is seldom done, and is used during times when it is deemed necessary, especially to help in certain causes. Baphomet is one such god who came into being under these circumstances. The information shared is what I’ve learnt from Baphomet through my experiences in working with them.
Baphomet was created as a joint-project between Satan (one of the three demonic High Kings) and Shub-Niggurath, the Outer Goddess known as the Black Goat with a Thousand Dark Young. These two deities merged small portions of their energy in order to construct a combined form that would act as a unique deity; one that holds both of their teachings combined. With Satan’s contribution, his energy of rebellion, virility, indulgence, and will-power helped fuel Baphomet’s more aggressive areas. Shub-Niggurath, being the great goddess of fertility, insight, and the wilderness helped in fueling the more serene and wisdom-seeking areas of Baphomet.
With all these things combined, Baphomet became a teaching deity who would draw people towards the left-hand path and show them some of the true teachings of the demons. Baphomet encourages humans to embrace sexuality rather than see it as a sin, since this notion is harmful for many reasons. While sex is an important way to bring new life into being, Baphomet also values the pleasure that sex brings. Pleasure should be enjoyed without guilt, especially since human lives are short and full of burden.
Baphomet is a god of Libertinism, which is indulgence in pleasure, but also your own will. This encourages the freedom to enjoy life, since your life is your own and not anyone else’s. You also indulge in your pride, since you are not acting as a sheep like most others do, but rather as your own individual self who does not bow down to the tyranny of the Church. This however does not give one the right to act however they please or act arrogantly, since this will go against the teachings of Baphomet. The teaching here is to rule yourself with wisdom, and to seek enjoyment within a world that constantly tries to steal it from you.
From this, we see that Baphomet is strongly linked to the material, but since they are a deity of balance, they are linked to the spiritual as well. Through indulging in your senses, you can gradually gain certain experiences that grant you wisdom. This is not something that can be done through overindulgence or doing things that would be harmful to you, as these would lead to harmful circumstances or materialism. The point here is that through freeing ourselves from the Christian fear of pleasure and by allowing ourselves to gain insight from new experiences, we can obtain certain understandings from this and progress towards wisdom. This can be expressed through the quote “The Path of Excess leads to the Tower of Wisdom” from Enigma and William Blake, as wisdom can only be gained through large amounts of experience, if done properly.
Baphomet can be spoken to at any time and asked for guidance. They are a deity who interacts through our minds in order to bring spiritual teachings, and then vanishes when no longer being spoken to. They seek to guide and uplift both body and spirit, which will bring balance into a person and awaken more of their potential. The original Baphomet was a combination of Cernunnos and Pan, which was worshipped by the Knights Templar before they were discovered. Hundreds of years later, Eliphas Levi created the iconic image of Baphomet, which was some time after Baphomet as a deity was constructed by Shub-Niggurath and Satan. Through analyzing the many symbolisms shown in the art of Baphomet, we can gain even more insight about this dualistic deity.
Symbolism of Baphomet:
The black goat is not only a Satanic animal, but also the form which Shub-Niggurath takes, since she is the humanoid black she-goat.
The hermaphroditic form shows the union of male and female as one, which is gained through the combined energies of Satan and Shub-Niggurath.
The torch upon their head represents Illumination, showing the light that emerges from one’s being when they have been spiritually awoken through great effort.
The pentacle is the left-hand path, the teachings of the demons.
The Caduceus represents the Staff of Hermes, which symbolizes the balance of opposites as well as the principle of correspondence. The Staff also acts as an allusion to the phallus, which is the masculine sign of fertility.
The wings represent connection of the celestial element with the bestial element (the goat), which together is the union between Heaven and Earth. This is not the false Christian Heaven, but the true celestial realm. In Sumerian mythology, this union was called the Duranki, and is the link which allows humans the possibility to transcend beyond the earthly plane and into a higher state of being.
Baphomet’s arms bare the Latin words Solve (separate) and Coagula (unite). This refers to alchemy, which is taught in The Alchemical V.I.T.R.I.O.L where it says “Visit the interior of the earth and by purifying yourself, you will find the hidden stone.” The meaning of this text is that one must delve into themselves and separate from their ego, thus becoming purified. Through this, the hidden stone, which is the core (higher self), will be discovered. And through bonding with the higher self, one can gain great wisdom, freedom, inner-strength, and life beyond death (without reincarnation). So the Solve and Coagula refer to this very teaching, of separating from what limits us and uniting with our truth. This brings self-transformation and is the first step towards Illumination.
The hand gestures used by Baphomet is the ancient sign of binding and teaching, which is also used as a blessing. It is used in the Hermetic tradition, and has been used by other deities as well. Baphomet’s hands also point both towards the sky and towards the earth, representing the Hermetic law of “as above, so below”. This law means that everything has a correspondence to another, which allows the use of magick in many areas. One should not interpret this phrase as meaning opposites, but rather that everything connects to other points of reference on another plane. Thus, the material and the spiritual are interrelated, based on the principle of similarity (caution: similar refers to analogy; it does not mean they are the same). There are points of correspondence for everything, which forms the basis on most areas of magick, and may also explain portals, teleportation, and other advanced magick techniques. Therefore, many things in existence are reflections of each other; above and below are not opposites since they do not oppose each other, instead, they are two different points of perspective. This is telling us that like “above” and “below”, many other things correspond with one another as analogies and can thus be used in magick to help us make connections. For example, the metal of silver is connected to the Moon because they are “reflections” of each other, thus causing silver to have an energy link to the Moon, which allows it to be used in planetary magick.
The fingers of Baphomet point towards two different Moons. The crescent that is waning is Solve (dissolution/separation) and the black crescent that is representing the Dark Moon is symbolizing new beginnings through transformation.
Overall, Baphomet is a deity who teaches the way of self-transformation through gaining insight and freedom. There is also a mixture of indulgence, but as a way of obtaining lessons and self-understanding. We first must seek to be free from the oppressive chains of society and the Church by empowering ourselves and seeing that there is no harm in pleasure, then we must free ourselves from our bodies and realize that the material is not everything. This is also freedom from the ego, which restrains us and limits us, making us filled with illusions. To separate from this is to begin the path towards transcendence and true empowerment.

THE DECONSTRUCTION OF GODS
This is a rant about something that I have noticed as a trend the last few years. There seems to be an attempt throughout several media, even games (such as God of War and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla) to demystify the deities and portray them either as humans, aliens or something that lacks the wisdom or the respect it deserves. Usually the narrative leads to the point that the human is exalted through supposed valor and then the deity/deities act like humans, often behaving in a questionable or callous manner, giving reason to the main character to defy them or denigrate them in all sorts of ways. This is rather serious: the game developers are not free of blame; they condone this by approving the script in such irreverent games, while putting a few tones here and there of things that would please the public.
The most common way to do this is to create a fast-pacing game with good graphics and eye-catching scenery: now you got the players’ attention. So that’s when the script starts feeding its malicious propaganda about so-called “empowerment” by dethroning the gods; it seems that we’re dealing with a cult with a doctrine here. This cult is Humanistic first and foremost (Man first), but has Abrahamist (or even atheist) leanings in some way. So they target anything that inspires awe and mystical wonder in a person. A unicorn is just a horse with a horn mutation; a cyclops is merely an overgrown human with one eye; there are no gods, just aliens or other beings close to humans that humans erroneously portray as gods. And Mankind has to assert itself over all those deities, in order to achieve its destiny.
I used to enjoy playing some excellent games in the past, but my view has become tainted because I see a blatant disrespect towards spirituality in general, and also, towards the deities. Both as a person working for many years with deities of all kinds and also as a psychologist, I am able to see that this trend is not random at all. It follows some kind of agenda, and once you connect the dots, it really is troubling. I wonder why these people behind the scenes are so eager for humans to “take the mantle of the gods, to rise high above them” etc, when it’s so easy to see where this arrogance has led people. As a left-hand-path practitioner, yes, I understand about the god within ourselves etc. And self-actualization, manifesting, empowerment and so on are important to me as well.
However, I’m not going to be a hypocrite and say that on the one hand, I value wisdom and secret knowledge and then go and belittle the deities. My own practice has shown me for at least two decades that the gods are real and that they actively assist, provided you are respectful and you employ the right ways to reach them. If you want to become like a god, then by all means, try and BE like a god; it will take iron will, discipline, knowledge, a lifetime’s effort and hard work and lots of guidance from other gods to assist you in your ascendance. But you won’t get there by bitching about the deities, making fun of them, smearing their reputation or making them something they are not or something less just because it gives you an ego boost. That won’t make you a god; it will make you an idiot.
PS: I have enjoyed many games and other media in the past, of which I think much less now. They can be fun to play; indeed, some have excellent story lines too. And I guess creativity makes some people irreverent, but that’s to be expected. But if you value the spirits and the deities as much as I do, and if you care about your own mentorship or your evolution, then consider my words and make a stand in the social media, wherever you see fit. You don’t have to buy all their products; but even if you do, post comments in the YouTube sections or elsewhere, and actively show your displeasure. These people think they are so clever that no-one notices their agenda. Prove them wrong.
The stationary male/active female dichotomy of left-hand path sexual polarities is most dramatically illustrated in depictions of Shakti in her destructive guise of midnight-black Kali, squatting with necrophiliac lust to absorb the erection of the dead corpse-white Shiva, prostrate upon a funeral pyre. Tantrics say that Shiva without Shakti is a corpse; male consciousness, without female power, is inert.
