🚑 - If your muse was the only person around and someone was injured, would they help? Would they have the experience needed?

Dag would potentially help, depending on the circumstance. As well as if he would have the experience to help. He knows the basics of how to help with some injuries, such as stopping a wound from bleeding and keeping a broken bone stabilized. But he’s no healer, and the best he could do would be to carry/drag the person to a town or to someone who did know what to do.

👨 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their father? Is it good, bad, or complicated?

Complicated, but mostly good. He still has some buried fears in regards to his father’s beastblood, and a part of him is jealous that Shad is trying to start a family with his partner, Tindra. He feels a little neglected and forgotten, but wants to be a part of his father’s life as much as he wants Shad to be in his own, so he’s trying to deal with these insecurities personally.

 🚹 - How would your muse react to losing their father? How would they cope?

With anger. Lots of anger. At anyone he felt was responsible (his father, himself, etc) and at the world in general. Eventually, that anger would dissolve to grief and potentially depression. It would take a long time for him to feel stable again, but so long as he had the support of his aunt and friends, he would pull through.

“If you’d be so kind and fuck right off, I’d appreciate it. Thanks and good bye.”

[secretly, though (or maybe not so secretly), she does have a lot of regrets and concerns, most of them revolving around the friendship she has just lost. Before the fight and consequent breakup, however, things were fine between them. Mostly. Anyone who’s been paying attention would probably have seen that this has been going on for a while.]

Dag - 'For a while I thought he'd kind of let up with his shenanigans once we got to know each other better, but apparently not. He's not awful or anything, just frustrating and I do like him, but he makes it hard sometimes. I wish I could make him understand how much I hate being called 'princess'.'

The Nord’s brows furrowed in uncertainty. At first, he thought it was Dalamus, but the more they spoke, the more he wasn’t sure. Finally, a broad grin crossed his face at the final word, and he let out a snort of laughter.

“Aw, it’s Princess Halldis!”

(Tort) After everything Dalamus has done, he doesn't deserve his daughter back. She's better off with you. That vampire can barely take care of himself, let alone anyone else. It would probably be a mercy for the Dawnguard to put him down. It would certainly be a relief for Dag.

Tortulja took a moment to calm herself. She let in a deep breath and exhaled slowly, setting her hands on the table in front of her and leaning against it to better help ground herself.

“One… Dalamus has done a fine job of taking care of himself. He’s been alive for centuries – you don’t do that by being careless,” she began, keeping her tone steady and firm, “Two, it’s not whether or not anyone else believes Dalamus ‘deserves’ his daughter back despite his actions, but whether or not his daughter wants to be back with her father. 

Three, despite popular belief – and behavior observed – Dag doesn’t want Dalamus dead. That would cause him a lot of grief, as I’m sure Llaara would be devastated. The two may not see eye-to-eye on many things, but both of them want Llaara to be happy, and her father’s death would most certainly cause the opposite.”

💜: how long might it take for my muse to say "i love you" for the first time? 

To say it and actually mean it? A while... if at all.

“Love” (in the romantic sense, anyway) wasn’t exactly something that was taught or nurtured or supported while he grew up. Shit, romance wasn’t even a topic of conversation in his camp: either you were with someone and/or sleeping together or you weren’t. That was it.

His time with Tort and Shad and their family and friends has opened his mind up, though he’s still only just getting used to the idea of monogamous relationships, let alone loving one person in a romantic sense.

It would more likely be an “actions are louder than words” type confession. If he changed his behavior to better suit his partner (to make them happy, for example), it’s a clear sign that he loves them. Dag doesn’t see the reason for telling someone how he feels -- he should just be known via his actions. He also doesn’t want to tell someone he loves them if he doesn’t or if he’s unsure. So you can bet that if he does say he loves someone, he actually means it.

💙: how would my muse handle seeing their object of affection falling in love with someone else?

Not well. Mostly with anger, likely directed at whoever his partner was falling for. Then anger directed at the partner, and finally anger at himself (after a long period of time had passed, however).

Dag doesn’t understand ‘complex’ emotions well, and he tends to default to anger when confused, frustrated, upset, or hurt. Eventually, his anger would die down and he would simply be hurt, and with enough time he would eventually get over the pain as well.

But it would be a long while before he faced his previous partner and their new lover.

“Mm, come here,” he murmured, pulling the womer to him. He held her close to his chest and pressed a kiss to her lips, one that lingered for some time. He let one hand rest on her lower back, but moved the other upwards, until it rested just below the base of her head, and deepened the kiss. After a moment, he pulled away, smiling at her.
