Like how some heated water for their tea, Olaavn did the same with his blood. It always tasted far better warm. As soon as it was body temperature, he ladled it into a goblet, preparing himself for a relaxing read by the fireplace.
-CRASH!
Olaavn startled, spilling his drink on the floor. As bothersome as the mess was, he was more concerned about what had made that noise. Had a bookshelf fallen? Or was someone inside? Setting down his cup, he made way in the direction of the sound.
The relaxing walk in the crisp spring air had quickly turned into a chase that could rival Hircine’s Hunting Grounds. It was so unlike Bear to run off like this, and Charlie was wondering what on Nirn had gotten into him.
By the time she caught up with him, he had disappeared into the grounds surrounding an old castle. She called his name from the top of her lungs and was greeted with silence, save from the wind and birds.
Bear, on the other hand, had managed to slip inside and was currently sniffing up new scents and knocking things over with his wagging tail.
Charlie approached the front gate, looking for a bell or door hammer of some kind, but settled for pounding on the wood with her fist. “Hello? Is anyone home?” she called before stepping aside to peer in through a nearby window.
