Procrastinating Problems and the Will to Persevere
So these three days past, I haven't done Core Shit or Leg Shit. I tried yesterday to dobothto no avail. Today, I am scheduled to work until 7p,which means I have the four hours I need to workout after my job.
I just wanted to tell people that I havenotgiven up; I havenotquit, and Iwill neverallow this to happen again. It is inexcusable to stall/procrastinate a routine like this, especially for more than a day.
I'll be sure to fill you all in after I get back from my job.
So I didn't do this routine until late in the evening. Not only do I not have an excuse for this, but I had no reason to wait so long. I got up around 11a, which is somewhat typical, but instead of doing anything productive, I wasted my time playing video-games.
Does getting ready for my friend's baby's first birthday party count as a reason to not work out? Only if there isn't enough time between waking up and when the party begins... so no, not in this case.
And if I didn't have a reason before going to work, I most certainly did not have one for when I got Holmes--I mean home. PBS has been airing Sherlock series two for the past month, and I didn't want to miss it, okay. No, that isn't okay. Don't agree with me, damn you.
On another note, I didn't post this last night because I just wanted to sleep and not worry about anything for a few fucking moments.
NOTE:
I think I had improper form the last time I did squats. I have been having mild back pain since I did them, and I know exactly what my doctor would say: rest your back; don't do squats for x days. So I'm not going to be doing (at least, weighted) squats for a while. I'll be sure to keep you updated.
The Food
I had a terrible time with food today. I was good after I woke up this morning (oatmeal, green tea), but that party got me pretty decent. I had some hotdogs, tuna salad, and some other... noodle salad. It was good, but still...
But those aren't really relevant to "The Food" that I ate before-and-after this workout "session," and I guess I felt like putting those tidbits of information on here 'cause I hardly ate anything before this routine, which is stupid. If I had been using weights, I probably would have killed myself. No seriously, you have to eat before you workout; I nearly passed out, and I was hardly doing a damn thing.
I had Taco Bell before this workout, and no, I did not chose to get it. I am not one to waste food when there are thousands of people in the world starving to death, and my dad already bought it. The food. He already bought the food... Anyways, it was a quesadillia or somesuch. I think it was their chicken version? I don't really want to think about it.
I drank water with the Taco Bell stuff, while I was working out, and after I finished. There's pretty much just that, tea, milk (two-percent and whole), and pop here at the moment...
The Workout
Note: I added the Isometric Chest Squeezes to this routine because why the fuck not and because it won't really do anything unless I do them often, I think(?)
