(SMALL EXCERPT FROM THE NEWEST UPDATE: Chapter 22)
“Cuin enni...” Legolas whispered, blue eyes opening to glance toward his friend. “Ias adar nin?” ~{[I am alive... Where (is) my father?]}~ Legede smiled softly, “Lostol.” the white haired Elf replied, moving gracefully to stand beside his prince's seated form. “Your father has hardly slept this past fortnight. King Elessar helped me... persuade him.” ~{[Sleeping.]}~ At this, a very soft laugh came from the archer, before his left arm moved to hold his rib cage. “It hurts to laugh but... you did not let Estel give ada tea, did you?” “Of course not.” Legede replied, reaching a hand out to rest it against Legolas' left shoulder. “I gave it to him myself.” Hearing that whispered reply made the prince smile and he reached up his good hand, grasping the fingers that waited there. Tiredly, Legolas tilted his head against that hand, blue eyes staring out across the city of Minas Tirith and into the Pelennor beyond.
Sighing softly, those eyes started to close in the healing sleep of the Elves and before Legede could speak further, he found his prince fast asleep in the morning sun. He stood there for some time, feeling the warmth of Legolas' cheek against his hand and in the silence the captain sent up a prayer to Mandos for sparing the life of this one who was still too young to be taken from the world.
That was how Aragorn found them both.
