Spoiler: [About Ron and Veronica being co-anchors to the world news in New York until Ron is fired and Veronica is promoted to the first female nightly news anchor. Ron ends up leaving the marriage and goes back to San Diego as a commentating at Seaworld. He failed a suicide and is found by Freddie Sharp, who is here to hire him for a new show idea of 24 hour news. Ron goes to find the rest of his crew. Champ has his own fried chicken restaurant, which isn’t good and is actually bats instead of chicken. Brian is a prominent cat photographer. Brick is speaking at his own funeral. They get to work and find out they have the graveyard shift while popular anchorman, Jack Lime, has the primetime slot. Ron is jealous and then goes home to greet his wife only to find out that she has a new lover. He’s a psychologist named Gary. Jack and Ron fight a lot, so Ron makes a bet that if he beats his ratings, Jack needs to change his name legally to Jack Lame. Ron ends up doing a show that is full on American and tells the listeners what they want to hear rather than what they need to hear and has the best ratings. Before ratings are out, his boss, Linda, fires him. He is called back when they discover the ratings. They are promoted to primetime and Jack is suffering due to his new name. Linda starts a relationship with Ron when she falls for his greatness even though she didn’t like him at first. She scared Ron at first for being so powerful and forthright with her want for him. Brick starts a relationship with another office worker named Chani, because she is similar to him. Ron ends up neglecting his relationship with his son, but is a strong influence on him. While he is celebrating at a party, Ron ice skates and ends up tripping on a cord and ends up blind. He isolates himself in a lighthouse and fails to live normally. He yells at his friends, who end up leaving him. Veronica takes care of him eventually with their son, Walter. Ron gradually improves and they also take care of a nearby shark and name him Doby. They set him free later. He discovers a message later on his answering machine and finds out that Veronica has been erasing messages of a possible surgery to restore his vision. He goes and gets his vision back. He comes back and isn’t too fond of his old life. He leaves after a live broadcast of him revealing negative information that the news station wanted to cover up. He runs to catch up to his son’s piano recital where Walter had a song written for him. He is stopped by the other news agencies and Jack and his gang. They all battle. They escape but is stopped by Jack again. The second rated newscaster in San Diego ends up saving Ron. He is able to get to the recital and applauds for Walter. Brick and Chani end up getting married. Walter sees Doby in the ocean behind them and Ron goes to hug it, but is attacked instead and saved by Baxter.]
