I wonder how they’ll explain Kong in the new GvK film.

I mean, they had a pretty decent explanation for kaiju in the 2014 Godzilla film with the whole super ancient nuclear age (the permian era apparantly)  that lead to the evolution of giants...but Kong is a ape. Gorillas didnt evolve till 10 million years ago, primates 75 million, long after the Permian era (251million years ago).

Soooo is Kong just a Gorilla like creature (maybe a wierd therapsid)? Or can he just mutate from radiation? Or will they involve the silly ol super steroid fruit from the original?
