Representation of people with disabilitys on the cw shows, blind Sara as an example.

So I'm currently rewatching season 5 of legends. And as we all know we have blind Sara there.

I'm leagly blind, and in my opinion, showing Sara as they did is afwal, not a good representation and not a good example.

At all.

As I already said, I'm leagly blind, I see only small precentage of what other see and I was totally blind for weeks.

So I feel like I can talk about blind Sara.

So shell be my main expample

I remeber the first time I watched season 5, last year, I was thrilled to see a blind character, because to me, as leagly blind, it felt amazing (and its not like we have people with disabilitys all time in cw shows).

Even then I was shocked. Like everything is just so wrong, it felt not okay.

How she walks, how she deals with it (idk if I can call it 'deal' but I got blind in the middle of my life and it was struggle, but she was like naaa its all fine I can do whatever I want).

Which felt wrong.

The CW had an option to raise awarness to another community, to show the struggeles but they choose not to.

It starts with the little details of how she walking around and another things.

I cant even explain, I just see them cause I know how it feels.

Its not looks like they even talked to a blind person before. They could, its easy. And Im sure they would found someone who would be happy to help them.

But they didn't, and the whole thing came out not accurate to watch, for me, as a leagly blind person.

In general the cw try to have lots of representation, they forgot alot of things, but disabilitys, even ones you cant see are one of the things that we have less everywhere on TV and movies.

Im just disapointed that until we had an option it came out like this.

(Btw, Im not saying I accpected to something really accurate, but they could at least show that they tried.)
