They said he’s really pretty! Do you wanna go to the groomers with me, like, um, next weekend, because I have a lot of tests this week? And then while he’s there we can shop for cute things for him to wear and I can buy you things too, like new shoes? I love shoes a lot! Uh, basically, do you wanna go shopping, because my roommate can’t read, so--” beep beep beep

Everything had happened so fast, she didn’t realize where she was until she couldn’t do anything about it. One minute, she’d been ensuring Lisbeth’s safety, her kids' wellbeing, making plans for them to get out of their home. Now she stood in a tacky prison outfit with ink on her hands, presumably from fingerprints, and one of those awful collars uncomfortably around her neck. She didn’t have the slightest clue how Lisbeth managed with this thing on. If she didn’t know any better, Margot swore that she had caught the flu. Even though her skin felt hot to the touch, shiver traveled up her back. Her body told her to lay down on the uncomfortable bed that the Doves had oh-so-graciously provided for them. 

But Margot wasn’t about to sit down and rest. She’d fought her way through the flu before, she could deal with these rather unfortunate symptoms that she guessed were effects from the fairly heavy collar.

She didn’t have her abilities, hairpins, or anything that she normally would deem useful. The doves had stripped her of everything, her wife (twice), her family (twice), and her own identity. But Margot would be dammed if she planned on waiting around in this cell for someone to come save her.

“Say,” Margot interrupted the silence as she turned to face the younger girl that the Doves had thrown in here with her. She couldn’t imagine going to prison at her own age, let alone at this poor girl’s age. But there wasn’t much Margot could do about that now. She had to focus on getting out of here first. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about picking locks, would you?” She asked. “How difficult do you think it would be to bust through the door? Or do you think when they come to feed us, because I doubt they’re going to let us starve even if the food sucks, we could overpower them?” She asked, listing off the ideas her mind had come up with. “I mean, I doubt people on the outside are just going to be okay with this, but I’m not just going to sit here and do nothing.”

“What places do you like to shop at?” Eun Jae inquired as he watched the Pomeranian waddle next to him as it tried to keep up with his short legs underneath a rather excessive amount of fluffy fur. “I really like shopping for sweaters and shoes. Oh! And socks. I like socks, they’re cute.” The pink-haired boy had gotten lost in his rambling, not appearing to be too aware of his surroundings. “I also still wanna go to the pet store so we can look at stuff for Hwannie and-- Oh.” He swiftly leaned over to cover the dog’s ears with his hands. “We can pet the other animals, but don’t tell Hwan, he’ll be jealous.”

The familiar sound of the ringtone Aki had chosen for one of her favourite people within the league, Legion, filled the room as she entered the workshop, causing the girl to bob her head to the beat. To any normal person, the ringtone sounded shrill and irksome, but Aki was by no means a normal person.

She was in her full hero gear. There was an unspoken understanding between the various heroes within the league that their identities were theirs to do whatever they wished with. There were certainly cases where heroes were loud and proud about their civilian names, but Yoshikawa Aki was not one of them. It was not out of cowardice or even caution that she made sure to keep her personal and ‘professional’ lives separate, but rather wisdom. After all…

Her father would kill her and then blame Mondo-san for not watching her properly and kill him, too. So, it was really for the common good that Aki kept things low-key. However, lately, she found herself wondering if she was doing a disservice to others like her by doing so. Since she had such a large platform online, it was safe to assume a decent percentage of her fans were mutants as well, and that meant they were in danger due to Virgil Xavier’s barbaric new policies. That was something the girl could hardly stomach.

During her last few streams, the words were constantly anchored at the tip of her tongue. Don’t worry. You’re not alone. I’m one of you as well. If not for Mondo-san, she would have blurted it each time.

Though her initial motivations behind hiding her identity were not due to cowardice, she had been feeling like something of a coward because of it for a while now. “LUIGI,” She bellowed, her tiny voice echoing off the walls of the workshop. “Why is it so gloomy in here? I think you should invest in mood lighting, you know? To make it happier!”

Without invitation, she walked to the workbench and propped herself up on it, her legs swinging back and forth childishly. “But, don’t worry. Your number one fan Megitsune is here to fill the room with positive vibes.” / ft. @legioninterface

what a day, what a workload, what a nice time to get the hec out of dodge and what a journey she was taking towards the exit. throughout the hallways there were many closed doors, as every full-time employee had left their busy word loads to escape traffic, pick up their children from busy, yet slow moving school zones, and rush home to serve dinner to their families.

not, Go. it was a perk of living alone. her time was entirely hers, and how she spent it was entirely up to her. and while the loneliness does take it's toll, she had plenty of check-ins to busy herself, which was where she was heading. she took her time making her way to the exit, as her bus would, as always, run late at this time of day. traffic sucks. and being that it was a chilly day out, there was no reason for her to stand around and kick her toes at the ground waiting for a bus to arrive.

so she traversed, wrapped around the corner, and peaked her head at the door in the far corner. the door was shut, but the light was still on, and while she never it would possibly be against her better judgement to interrupt a hard worker at this time, she knocked no the door for a couple of raps. after a bit of silence, she twisted the doorknob, and cautiously walked in, as to not break concentration.

she looked around the room, nothing out of the ordinary. just the girl, attached to her work. Go tilted her head at her, but knew that it would be a failed attempt at catching her attention.

"Still at it?"

and which project was she working on this time?? and was it foolish of her to assume that it was just one project. probably.
