BIOGRAPHY

From the moment Piper Constance Anders was born the odds were stacked against her. She was born with a severe hole in her heart that wasn’t discovered before or after birth and was only found a couple months after her birth. She was an early baby and weak already so this was quite shocking and terrifying for her parents after she had already been discharged. Heart defects aren’t uncommon but it was only the start of Piper’s medical problems. Being immunocompromised, asthma, and a string of other things made Piper’s life difficult. Shortly said, she spent a lot of her life in a hospital for various things because everything was a hazard to her, including herself.

This made for a very lonely childhood. Piper’s parents kept her home, sheltered her to the point of smother out of fear. Her older sibling had so much freedom and when Piper would even coax the smallest bit of freedom from her parents they’d tag along with her like she was a lost puppy. If that wasn’t bad enough everyone treated her like she was made of glass. Everyone. It was frustrating and suffocating until she finally set herself free and left her family behind.

For all those years she felt trapped in a hospital bed or at home there was a freedom she’d had but kept to herself. Her powers were everything that made her special, what most people noticed besides her illness was her mind and though they didn’t understand the actual inner workings. She was smart, certified genius but they could never see the depths to what her consciousness could do.

Pansaw, CA was her new start, her new life. She got degrees in mechanical engineering minoring in software and even with her health problems she continues to do what she loves. But it was never enough. The stigma of her still being the sickly girl followed her like her shadow. People still looked at her like she was fragile. And maybe that was what started it, the burning need to prove even to herself that she was capable of more than that made her branch off and build her first suite. She can’t remember what started it, she’s sure it was just a pure need to contribute and knowing that she could. She had all she needed to be useful with her mind and able to make whatever she wanted so long as she found a supply she finally found a use for the powers she was given.

Everything had happened so fast, she didn’t realize where she was until she couldn’t do anything about it. One minute, she’d been ensuring Lisbeth’s safety, her kids' wellbeing, making plans for them to get out of their home. Now she stood in a tacky prison outfit with ink on her hands, presumably from fingerprints, and one of those awful collars uncomfortably around her neck. She didn’t have the slightest clue how Lisbeth managed with this thing on. If she didn’t know any better, Margot swore that she had caught the flu. Even though her skin felt hot to the touch, shiver traveled up her back. Her body told her to lay down on the uncomfortable bed that the Doves had oh-so-graciously provided for them. 

But Margot wasn’t about to sit down and rest. She’d fought her way through the flu before, she could deal with these rather unfortunate symptoms that she guessed were effects from the fairly heavy collar.

She didn’t have her abilities, hairpins, or anything that she normally would deem useful. The doves had stripped her of everything, her wife (twice), her family (twice), and her own identity. But Margot would be dammed if she planned on waiting around in this cell for someone to come save her.

“Say,” Margot interrupted the silence as she turned to face the younger girl that the Doves had thrown in here with her. She couldn’t imagine going to prison at her own age, let alone at this poor girl’s age. But there wasn’t much Margot could do about that now. She had to focus on getting out of here first. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about picking locks, would you?” She asked. “How difficult do you think it would be to bust through the door? Or do you think when they come to feed us, because I doubt they’re going to let us starve even if the food sucks, we could overpower them?” She asked, listing off the ideas her mind had come up with. “I mean, I doubt people on the outside are just going to be okay with this, but I’m not just going to sit here and do nothing.”
