Hype and Hype Speeds: An analysis by me because I'm procrastinating again

Hype is sort of a scale for determining excitement. It can be expressed in singular units much like potato (e.g. 7 hype). However, as hype increases it becomes easier to measure it in hype speeds. The relationship between hype and hype speeds is similar to that between meters and kilometers; however, there is no clear conversion factor so switching between hype and speed is somewhat of an estimate. It is widely believed that 1,644 hype = hype speed 1. There are established speeds through hype speed 3 (1644, 1932, and 2226 hype) and from 11 to 13 (2490, 2870, and 3434 hype, respectively). After that, very little is known about the scale other than a handful of facts: the hype speeds for most events level off around speed 11, but hype speed 13.5 (4050 hype) is the highest recorded hype speed and has thus been nicknamed "ludicrous speed". Collaborative international efforts between wumbologists and hypists have led to many discoveries about the hype speeds: some theories suggest that the phrase "A1Z26" may be involved in the conversion somehow, but no one has been able to figure out exactly how. The number 13.5 is a recurring number in many hype equations, but again nobody is quite sure what it means, aside from being the highest hype speed observed. Experiments are ongoing, and hype experts believe they are close to precisely identifying speeds 4-10.
