There comes a time in everyone’s life, when they start to see strange memes popping up in the weirdest of places

I’ve loved the Bionicle reboot for the past couple years now. It’s a fun little shot of familiar set-buying desires and anticipations, and it even has a show! That’s all rad!

Now I know it was only ever slated to run for 3 years, and business business business, numbers can shorten or lengthen that time frame, but I can accept basically whatever Lego gives us because we’re lucky to have anything, really. 

That being said, I have a hard time wrapping my head about what’s going on with this Makuta building contest. So, they built a titan Makuta to use for the animations, but he’s not an official set? Or is he? The fact that they’ve opened the floor for MOC-ers to go ham and build their own super-awesome-demon-lord makes it seem like they’re not standing behind the model they canonized...or even really the story they canonized! Makuta definitely hasn’t been THE evil presence in this reboot since the dawn of their time; he began as a jealous dude.

Like, end this line whenever you feel you have to Lego, (Mata Nui knows we’ve dealt with abrupt story endings before) but can we please just have a locked in, canonical Makuta set with the Mask of Ultimate Power before you do? As far as I’m concerned that provides all the sets and parts this reboot needs to pass into history as an all-around-fun little nostalgia trip.
