I've been working on the Legomelon fankid situation... Still trying to figure out how to draw furries. For now my idea is that her silhouette is more like Legoshi's? With wolf ears and the fluff + a wolf tail. But her features are more like Melon's, with his fur color and eyes + his more pronounced snout. And the horns- can't forget the horns.

Also a full body sketch while I was trying to think of her fashion, plus I wanted to see how her face looked attached to a body... Still not sure how much face fluff to add.

Plus a more baby picture while I was practicing expressions. She makes puppy eyes.

Haven't chosen a name yet. My first idea was to have Legoshi name her Leano, but I feel like she already has enough baggage on her without literally naming her after the dead mom lol. Maybe something with L as an initial to pay homage without being too on the nose? Something to consider.

I've been cooking up AUs in my head lately and the idea of an AU where Melon escapes custody and Legoshi ends up keeping him in his house so he can keep an eye on him (so he's basically on house arrest). Mostly because I find the idea of him actually having to parent Leonie kind of interesting.

1 — Melon was the only one who was emotionally and (partially) physically close to Legoshi when he got scales (we ignore the existence of scientists. To hell with them).

2 — Since Melon has been held in the facility with Legoshi since childhood, this means that he has not been able to get his tattoos and he most likely has not yet developed leopard spots... This means that in this fanfiction, when showing his leopard traits, Melon may indeed not be alone, he may have support in the person of Legoshi and Gosha.

3 — Legoshi and Melon coding-Ethel Cain

Melon being there for Legoshi when he got his scales and Legoshi being there for Melon when he got his leopard spots... that's so CUTE 🥺 It makes me sad to think Melon can't cover his spots because he hates them so much, but hopefully Legoshi can help him feel better? Though I imagine it's probably a bit of a challenge with Melon's trauma and all that...

One thought about my Legomelon fankid as I figure out more stuff about her... But I'm not sure how she'd be born.

Like, a pregnant Melon sounds like a nightmare to deal with- and I don't think he'd be too happy with bringing another hybrid kid into the world, not after what his life was like. It just sounds miserable for all involved.

On the other hand... Legoshi has kind of too little self preservation to be an ideal candidate. This man will hear someone threaten a hybrid or a herbivore and he will jump into battle five months pregnant with NO hesitation. Miserable situation for all of his loved ones.
