We fixed each other because that's what healthy (platonic you fuckers) relationships do! And more importantly, we fixed ourselves!!!
I fixed Legundo by proving to him that the bloodlust and aggression seen as inherent to vampirism is manageable! That he decided to have me turn him later on is because that's what he decided he wanted. He learned to live with his past on his own, not because of anything I did except be there for him.
I fixed Owen by proving to him that there were humans who would not shun him or give up on him. If later on, after my turning, him having the opportunity to do for me what his sire had never had the opportunity to do for him healed something in him, that's not something I would say I did.
Oh, and while our friendship is unique and looks a little different from many other friendships, that doesn't mean that we are "more" than friends. 😒
