Worn boots pad gently throughout the forest. The peace here is an illusion – a mere mirage amongst the horrors that awaited outside. Levi would be lying, however, if he did not admit there was something comforting about the quietness and isolation the woods offered. His gear clanks as he makes his way through the area. The captain knows he has to return to the others before sunset, to retreat to the place he now calls home –– but a part of him wishes he could stay there just a bit longer, amongst the trees, letting the sun touch his skin through the canopy of leaves above as it eventually retired from the sky for the night.
Levi is ripped from these thoughts, however, when he realizes he isn’t alone. He slowly turns to find ... a being he has never seen before. But he doesn’t falter, he doesn’t scream. No, he has experienced far too many horrors to display fear or uncertainty. Pale blue eyes look up at the figure before him; he has a feeling it belongs here more than he does.
❛ –– You’re not a Titan. ❜ No, if it was, he’d likely have been consumed by now.
