Maiwand Bakery in #Dandenong, #Victoria in #Australia feature some traditional #Afghan Naan made in clay ovens. At least two of the major streets feature dozens of Afghan restaurants, grocery shops and fruit juicers. Going for $1 a piece, many people come by to buy the bread fresh out of the oven. The bakers told me they came from Uruzghan province where the Australian military was based during the post reconstruction phase after the fall of the Taliban. It was a delight to put my Dari skills in use to order some bread. #migrantswelcome #leicamp240m
