Sitting on the kitchen counter, he watched Leigh chopping up the last of the pumpkin and set them on the tray, which was going to go in the oven for the next twenty minutes. “What else do we need?” he mused, not much inclined to move, until a swat made him inch away from her a little. “We have the roasted chestnuts, the bacon, the pumpkin in the oven and the risotto is on the stove, so...” Grinning, he reached around her and stole one of the chestnuts. “What else do we need?” Finally, he moved, but only to the corner of her kitchen, where he had set down the bottle of wine earlier, and found two glasses which he filled up. Offering her one of them, he tapped his against it, and then took a sip. “Now all we need is a pile of leaves to play around with and we’re set for a pretty perfect autumn, don’t you think?”
