I had a dream where the Erins finally released a new novella set, and it was for Jacques, Thriftear, and some other cat I don't remember. The cover was completely different from normal (different artist, more stylistic, no portraits) and it had a winter scene with a very happy brown and white cat in front, Thriftear behind them in a clearing, and Jacques behind her in the background

I don't even remember who Jacques is, let alone why he'd be there 😭

I wish they went more unique with protagonists. I do like the current ones, but they're pretty much just reskins of the last ones (ThunderClan cat in love with a cat from another clan + some baby medicine cat third wheel)

There could be a parent cat that has to balance solving the conflict and taking care of their kits. There could be a brand new deputy or leader trying to keep things under control while things grow restless beyond their clan. There could even be some loner helping out from the sidelines. I get that they want kids to be able to relate to them, but I wish they'd at least make one protag that's not just "young cat with little to no power and competence" 😭

I feel like a WindClan villain could be really interesting. They've kind of always been regarded as weak, so what if an ambitious leader came along wanting to prove their clan's strength?
