Growth progress...

Been keeping soil watered but not soaking. They’re getting some good direct sunlight for a couple hours and the good indirect light for the remainder of the day. Not sure how the wee sprout will survive but I am rooting for him! (Get it?😏)

Giving my sprouts some humidity. It's autumn here and the air has dried out significantly. Hoping this will help my babies over the cold/dry months. There are my lemon sprouts, my apple sprout, and my avocado sprout🌱 🍋🍎🥑 9.29.17

🍋🌱Lemon sprout update!🌱🍋 Fertilized this morning, hoping to encourage more growth! They turned 1 year old this month! I cant believe I've kept them growing from a lemon I bought from the grocery store. Very proud and this was an interesting experience for me. I am genuinely excited to plant one or two of these outside when I move to a warmer area. But till then, take care my sweets 😘🌱 8.20.17

Lemon sprouts soaking up some sun rays 🌱🌞 Its been a relatively decent winter considering it is usually much colder and gloomier for longer periods. The sprouts have been hanging on good theough the winter, and recently they started growing again. (I've been warming the room with a portable heater in the morning for a while) With the heater, they're doing great and helps the rest of my plants too, also my pets loooove the heater haha. 2.4.17

Lemon Tree Sprouts

About a week ago, I cut into a lemon for lemonade and there were sprouted seeds! I rescued as many as I could, carefully removing them from the lemon and putting them in a wet paper towel to see if they would grow. 3 of the seeds rotted in the process but we have at least 7 sprouts now. 3 of the sprouts are growing leaves! I will do my best to keep them as moist and settled as possible so they root and can be transplanted into pots to grow! The internet says that the roots need to be 2 inches long before planting and most of these little guys are almost there! After that, they need well draining potting mix and a pot with at least a 3 inch diameter kept perpetually moist until they have 4 or more strong leaves! After that, they can go in larger pots and watered as normal until they reach the size you want (indoor plant) or until they can be transplanted outdoors to their final spot in the earth. Will keep you updated if I remember to! 2020 is the year of Hell, but these cute sprouts are giving me something to look forward to!
