Before and after taking massive chomp out of my big beautiful radish 🩷
I’m rarely one to boast about my offline life, but since taking up gardening to grow my own food, I think I’ve done well so far. :)
Unphotographed are also pots of strawberries and a third round of beetroot (can’t get enough of it!)
What I’ve learnt:
- the seasons are out by two months, so start seeding only after you have one whole week of warm weather
- tomatoes are deceiving, but potatoes are always reliable
- one courgette plant is enough! Seriously! Or you will be o v e r r u n!
- The Three Sisters farming method is fantastic! Worth doing again.
- beetroot leaves are a good filler for chard
- put strawberries on fence hanging pots: keeps the mice/rats away, but be wary of opportunistic crows.

Went out to the local nursery today! I had to get my plant mom on. I picked up this gorgeous snow queen pothos. I wanted to buy one of these braided pachira aquatica trees but they’re kinda expensive 🫤
Something kinda funny about buying tropical plants in in -5° weather 🤣
