Does anyone know if the book Sweaters & Cigarettes by Mika Fox kept to the original destiel fanfic or was it drastically changed? I wanna know if it’s worth the money to buy it.

agreed tbh, all of this. I’m not that excited abt Jordan tho bc I feel like they’ll excuse all his past behavior, but yeah it might give her some story of her own. already so over the Charlie thing tho damn

I’m worried about that too. I really dont want them to make the usual werewolf excuse “oh, the full moon/the worlf inside him made him do it, it’s not his fault!!!”. I’m so over that trope when it comes to werewolf characters.

And I’d hate it if she ends up forgiving him (or worse, dating him again) because of it. The only way I’d accept it is if he was genuinely and truly sorry for what he did and owned up to it without making crappy excuses.

"You want me to fake date you," Magnus says flatly. It's not even a question, but more a way of really driving the point home about how dumb the idea is. "Pretty much.". Magnus narrows his eyes. "You do realize that this never works out well in movies, right?" he says. "Ever." Alec feels a distinct sense of embarrassment creep up now. "Look, I―" "Ever."

Alec has come out, but that doesn't stop his parents from their continuous attempts to set him up with a nice shadowhunter girl. So, what better way to finally get them off his back, than to say he has a boyfriend? Problem solved. Except they now apparently want to meet this guy, who doesn't exist. Thankfully, Magnus Bane -- who encouraged Alec to come out in the first place, and whose silent crush on Alec is just as bad as Alec's crush on him -- is more than happy to help. Even if the night doesn't end up going entirely as planned.

fic you’re most proud of: Strange Love. 100%. I felt like I grew a lot while writing that fic, and I practiced writing the little details a lot more. And the response to that fic was so entirely unexpected, that it just blew me away. 

favorite comment on your writing: Yeah, I definitely can’t pick one. Honestly, every single comment blows me away, because I never expect anyone to respond to my fics. So every time I get a notification of a new comment, and it’s someone being just so supportive and nice... it’s an amazing feeling. 

best flame: I don’t usually get flames- Magnus or Alec usually get the flames for being idiots in love, which always cracks me up. I love it when people reading the story get mad at Malec for being dumb. 

what surprised you about your writing this year? I’m always amazed when I’m able to get the words on paper. So just being able to write this year has been a wonderful surprise. 

do you have any writing regrets/things you would do differently? I want to be able to write more. So not really a regret, but writing is just a constant experience of learning how to write the details and show instead of tell and expand on certain scenes. I’m just trying to learn and grow as I go. 

how many WIPs do you have? do you plan to finish them? Two! And YES. I never leave work unfinished. One is a Malec fanfiction I’m working on called Heart on Fire. I plan to have the first chapter finished this week. And the other is an original m/m sports romance fiction that I want to finish this year. 

did you write any original fiction this year? Yes! I revisited an old original story I wrote years ago (about a girl who graduates college and moves to LA, where a gorgeous actor falls in love with her. Except it’s unrequited on her end... until it’s not) and re-wrote the whole thing, and it was amazing seeing how much I’ve grown as a writer in the past few years. Also, the m/m sports romance I mentioned above, about two college swimmers working toward the Olympics and falling in love. 

what are your writing goals for the new year?

Get published. Period. I want an agent and a publisher and to start sharing my original fiction with the world.
