A (very late) ask request!

A-Affection, Do they give you more affection on Valentine’s Day?
You walked through the door after a long day of patrolling. You were exhausted, but it was Valentine’s Day and you were excited to give Shouta the gift you picked up for him. In your bag, you were hiding a grey sweater with cat print on it. You also bought him some coffee energy packs, knowing that all you can get him to eat on a good day. You came in and said hello to your grumpy boyfriend who was dozing on the couch. What a dork.
“Hey, (Y/N). Wait a second.” A sleepy voice stopped you in your tracks. You turned around to see Shouta holding up a small box. You grabbed the box and Shouta blushed. “You can’t open this yet. I just wanted to give it to you now.” Shouta’s… acting weird.
“Okay. Fair enough. I wanted to give you your gift as well. Surprise!” You pulled his gift out of your bag and handed him the fluffy sweater and his snacks.
“Thank you, (Y/N). Do…” Shouta cut off.
“Do...do you want to go watch a movie?”
“A movie? Sure.” You smiled at Shouta and he took your hand. He led you into the living room and sat you down on the couch. He picked a random movie and turned it on, and then joined you on the couch. The second he sat down, he covered you both in a blanket and grabbed your hand. He was acting very strange, considering this was your third Valentine’s together. Usually he didn’t make nearly a big deal, if he even remembered.
“Shouta, is everything okay? You’re being very strange. You know the rule is we agree not to make a big deal, I break down and buy you a gift, and you roll your eyes and we order takeout. This year you’re buying things and being so so sweet. I love it and I love and appreciate you, but is everything okay?” Shouta looked at you and smiled.
“I just wanted you to have a good day. I know I forgot last year, and I almost forgot the year before that, so I’ve been thinking about this for a while.”
“Shouta, I know that you’re not into this kind of stuff. I don’t want you to feel bad. I knew what I was getting into.” You grabbed his hands but he let go and stood up.
Shouta sighed. “You heard me. Open it.”
You rolled your eyes and opened the box. Inside was a beautiful opal ring with diamond detail around the stone.
“Sho… What?” Tears were forming in your eyes.
“It’s a promise. I promise to be the best I can, and I promise to stick around and try to be less of a grump.” Shouta blushed and gave you a small smile.
Tears flowed from your eyes as Shouta pulled you into his arms.
“Happy Valentine’s, Day, (Y/N).”
P - Patient. How patient are they when it comes to planning the day?
“Fuck, Hizashi! I don’t know how to do this. I don’t even know what to get them.” Shouta groaned and slammed his head down on the table. “Seriously, this shit is so annoying.”
Hizashi laughed. “Lighten up, yo! Just you remembering will mean a lot to them, considering it’s a nice change of pace from your usual grumpy self.” Hizashi giggled and was met with Shouta’s middle finger.
“Honestly, Hizashi, I’m about to just give up. I’ve forgotten the last two years, maybe I’ll just ‘forget’ this year as well.” Shouta was growing increasingly frustrated at the idea of a Valentine’s Day gift. “I don’t want to get them something lame. What can I get them that helps make up for the last few years?”
Hizashi shrugged. “You could propose.”
Shouta gasped. “Are you freakin’ insane?”
“Not really. You’ve been thinking about it right? It’s super cliche to propose on Valentine’s Day, but let’s face it, you need all the help you can get.”
“You’re so full of shit, HIzashi. I am not proposing.” Shouta ran his fingers through his hair.
“A promise ring, then? It’s super middle school or whatever but you know they love that gushy stuff. Opal is their favorite, right?”
Shouta shook his head. “Damn, Hizashi. That’s genius.”
Hizashi laughed. “Was all that frustration worth it?”
U- Unique. What is something that would be uniquely theirs and yours tradition on valentine’s day?

Shouta is notorious for forgetting everything, especially holidays. (as seen above)
Usually you’ll bring home takeout because you knew he forgot.
He won’t wonder why you have it (at first) but eventually he’ll figure it out
He’ll blush really heavily and randomly try to hint that he hasn’t forgotten (but he totally did)
You usually end the night making fun of him and watching a really garbage comedic movie
Shouta promises to remember but he never does
You’re 100% okay with his forgetful ass because he’s sensitive and actually gets pretty upset when he forgets
X-X-Ray, Can you read through them when they hide gifts from you?
Shouta tries to be really sneaky when it comes to hiding things from you
He almost gets away with it but you know him way too well
He sneaks around more than usual
He looks over his shoulder more than usual
He tries to kiss up to you in weird ways to seem not suspicious
But it’s totally suspicious
You don’t go out of your way to find out what the gift is (only because it’d be way too easy)
When you finally receive the gift Shouta goes back to his usual sulky self
