Happy Birthday FORMER VP LENI ROBREDO 🩷🩷🩷
Yo, it's been a while! Catching up with life and work as of late! 🥺🤗💖 Hopping on to the #artvsartist2022 bandwagon and to share what I've done in the past year, in five parts nonetheless! I don't simply boast about my achievements (hehe), but mannn I can't believe I have done a lot of art - on and off the screen (yessss, I've done more art off screen! Look out for some unpublished art!) One of the biggest plot twists I've done this year is I've joined two(!) online art classes in able to improve my drawing and painting skills. That thing and my newfound friends' encouragement made myself more confident in making art. Although I've been on an art/creative slump lately, I never give up on creating no matter what; something I have to remember by heart. Looking forward to more art-ventures in 2023! Woooot! ⭐⭐⭐ Notes: 💖Photo 1: fave traditional artworks. Can't believe I can use copics and dip pens on top of my usual staples called watercolor and gouache. 💖Photo 2: fave digital artworks. Mostly done with Clip Studio Paint. One of the best investments ever. Some digiart from the past year happened to be campaign art for #lenikiko2022 . No regrets. 💖Photo 3: off screen sketches. Quite shy to share some of these tbh and now it's time to show them off. More of them the next time I'll post, promise 💖Photo 4: homeworks (or lack thereof) from the watercolor/anime+manga classes. Once again, quite shy sharing them. (Darn you 4lg0r1thm, you're ruining creativity lol). Thanks for making magic to us artists, @artillery.ph (and to friends I've made along the way!) 💖Photo 5: #wip corner. Those reminded me to have them done haha ⭐⭐⭐ ✨ If you love my art, please consider following me on Instagram and FB page: @mhanevision ✨ Commissions is still open! Please refer to pinned post on digiart commission for more info. Disclaimer!
This is an artwork that expresses my personal beliefs about the Philippines Elections 2022. Although this is my humble tribute to the launch of Angat Buhay and ex-VP Leni Robredo — it does not personally represent the organization nor the people behind it.
ArawNa10To : NCR is PINK
Do you remember the hype?
The pressure because of the OlymPINKS? Because I do.
I remember the 500k goal because that's how competitive we are.
We have this internal competition where the goal is to be the top of OlymPinks. So, basically, it is the number of attendees per rally. As a part of the NCR team, the pressure is real!
This is my second grand rally. Second to PasigLaban.
Of course, it's still me and my cousins; Jean, Erika and Justine. This time, we have Daniel, my sister. Who's been very active in House 2 House campaigning. We left the house around 2 pm. And arrived at Macapagal Avenue around 4 in the afternoon. You will know that you are near the venue when you start seeing fellow Kakampink walking, on their rides, or by noticing the ribbons, stickers and banners on their car.
We arrived excited. And our first stop - FREE ICE CREAM from a Kakampink vendor. Imagine the generosity! And I am not even biased or exaggerating but this is by far the best ice cream I have ever tasted!
Our goal is just to be in front of an LED monitor. And luckily, we found a perfect spot. Second LED from the Macapagal bay. There are 3 stages and the next LED after the first stage from the entrance is where we decided to stop and sit. The best spot, I can say. Obviously, the people around are so nice and we received a couple of foods and goodies and swear, you can never be hungry at every rally!
Me and my sister brought our own banner with witty statements and it feels so good when people ask to take a picture of your placard.
The energy is real! At first we thought the event started a bit early, but we never thought that this event was packed with so many surprises, celebrities and performers. And even if it is already past 10 pm, the crowd is still up and shouting, laughing, singing. If I can only capture the hype and go back every time, I would. But at this moment, all I can do is to remember. Reminisce.
We only finished the speech of VPL. And decided to step out. One is because we do not want to join the large crowd going out too. After VP Leni, Ben & Ben performed. And mind you, we all love this band. But I guess it only shows the reason why we are really there.
Indeed, how beautiful it is to see your family, people, and even strangers to fight for the country. Grateful, safe, and hopeful.
Now let me end this with one of my favorite candid photo took by my cousin.
xx
Here's two of my favorite photo from PasigLaban. Indeed, inclusivity for all. <3

I will always be proud that I am part of this movement.
Thank you to my President Leni Robredo & to my Vice President Kiko Pangilinan 🌷🌱
(i published this on my facebook page on the 10th of may 2022... reposting it here for posterity.)
as a person who grew up evangelical... the past 6 years and most importantly this election period has taught me that the catholic church cares more about my country than whatever evangelical church ive been to. ironic, because evangelicals are always striving to be relevant, to tap into the culture, to reach this generation. and yet at this time when we are starved of the truth and the system is failing us, all we get in return from them are the same old platitudes: "god is sovereign," "pray for wisdom," "pray for our leaders." perhaps i would have accepted this if things were more grey. like let's say we had choices that wouldn't actually be immoral. but at a time like this when things are distinctly black and white, is being neutral really the christian response? and why be neutral? why be silent? because we don't want to cause division? because people will leave church and go to hell? please, please remind me of a time when jesus ever felt bothered because droves of people left him. because i don't remember that at all. i can't, for the life of me, believe that the church where i played reverb-y guitar worship songs for a good chunk of my young adult life has turned its back on me and my generation with its silence. the church that told me to carry my cross and to bear the shame of sharing the gospel to my "lost" classmates in college would not even carry its own cross by upholding the truth even at the risk of losing attendance--and consequently tithes and offerings. and that truth is so important. because expressing it, upholding it, championing it would affect not just me. but also my future children, and my children's children, and their children, and so on. protecting that truth would help build a society where they can live freely and fearlessly. sure there are pastors here and there voicing their opinions, but that's really the bare minimum. you're supposed to do that. but it's just not enough. way too many evangelicals have a distorted perspective that they cannot even tell which is fact and which is fiction. to be fair, the catholic church is not perfect. they have their own share of darkness. and perhaps their efforts have not always borne fruit. but at least i can certainly see they are trying. it's odd that a priest in vestments would be more in step with the times than a pastor in full uniqlo costume. it's really fucking odd. especially when you grew up believing that the catholics are the ones who do not know christ. LISTEN. i don't need you to tell us what to choose. that's not the point. but at least show us when we're being fooled like sheep for the slaughter. because from where i stand, you just watched thousands of us be manipulated by blatant lies. i don't really know where this post is going. it's 3am. i feel tired. if there will be negative comments, to be honest, i dont fucking care. only proves my point. will long lost evangelical friends suddenly reach out to me? will there be concerned leaders? i dont know. but it's too late for that now, isn't it. praying for peace and strength.
