This is a 2 layered print. After making the first one, I went back and carved away more and printed again over the first one.
Recently, I went through the heart wrenching, physically and emotionally exhausting experience of having a medical abortion. The medical abortion pill causes your body to give birth. After the extremely painful process, I had this strange feeling that I myself had been born again. This painting is about that feeling.
