Sometimes people post in the gardening uk subreddit all like. 'Help, how do I get rid of this DISGUSTING yucky moss in my lawn and keep it 100% grass' and then it's the most beautiful, healthy carpet of moss you ever saw 😭
It's genuinely beyond me why you'd want to get rid of something that grows naturally in our climate, is perfectly adapted to your specific garden conditions, is great for the environment and requires zero maintenance.
Grass lawn people lowkey feel like a weird cult in this country sometimes
if you want butterflies, you need to live with caterpillars.
i am not being metaphorical, i work in a garden center, stop buying plants 'to bring in the bees and butterflies' and then immediately poisoning every caterpillar that dares to consume a single leaf
you will not get butterflies if you kill all the things that turn into butterflies! what are you doing!
Gotta knit.

We have a family tradition of reading a Christmas story that features a Pegasus being turned into a frosted gingerbread version of himself. (And some such thing experiancing the Manger scene or something.) so these are my gingerbread. It’s my first attempt with royal icing and boy have I learned a lot.
Postcard from my collection, sent 1912.
GUYS GUYS GUYS!!! (Gals and other if preferred)
GUESS WHAT I FOUND!!!
So my guest bedroom is covered in pink floral wall paper it’s all torn and falling off, and I wanted to keep one wall of it and paint the rest.
When I went to strip some off I discovered you guessed it! Wood panneling from the 70’s! This threw my yikes-o-meter through the roof. This is a 120 year old house and all but about three rooms have been touched by the hands of filthy house flippers. (This is about 50% of the house)
Most of my house had original wood floors and still has the original wood work from when it was built.
So I decide screw the wall paper I want this wood panneling down!
And low and behold! More wall paper! More layers of things and possibly! The original wall paper.
And I’m excited to see what lies in store under all the layers! I’m just sad the original base boards and trim has been long gone for many many years.
Look at what was benieth the other wall paper!
I’m so excited I can hardly wait to really get going on this room!

I fucking hate this shit. You home owners complain that you hate Lenolium, that why would you put this over wood foors, why would you carpet over tile!? And yet I see you bitches putting peel and stick tile over EVERYTHING.
Your peel and stick tile is the Lenolium and carpet of this generation.
