Midnight Strangers by Mitos (@seriouslycalamitous)
It’s finally done!!! This is officially the thickest book I’ve bound to date, coming in at 828 pages (796 of the fic itself). The Oxford hollow + bradel combination worked so well to support the textblock’s weight, and the foiled faux leather is super pretty, so I’m really happy with how everything turned out! I’ve learned a lot over the course of binding this that I will absolutely be using for my next thick bind.
SBK!Legundo acknowledging and breaking the eighth wall?!?!?!
We already knew that cc!Legundo was “in the walls,” but if this is the reference I think it is, then well played. I’m very excited to see how this concept is explored moving forward!
This typeset has been sitting finished for months, but I finally got around to getting cover paper and actually learning Chinese stab binding! There was a lot of trial and error and it’s not perfect, but it was a great first try and satisfying to sew. I’ll definitely be using this binding technique more in the future!
Thank you again to @dead-tribadist for writing such a beautiful fic and allowing me to bind it for my friend!
This is my current MCYT ita bag tour! I probably doubled the weight of the bag while at a con this weekend, so here’s the final bag now that the con is over for me! I’ve already ordered a separate bag for just the vampires stuff, so I’ll make another post when that comes in (link).
Also just to be clear, your average ita bag will not look like this. I’m an adult with disposable income who decided to spend it on mcyt fan merch because it makes me happy and I like supporting artists. Next month my money is going to the renfaire :D
The bag weight with all of the merch and nothing else inside is 2.9 lbs, which is heavier than the full nalgene water bottle I put in there (which is 2.6 lbs on its own). I also brought my lunch, as well as my wallet, sunglasses, travel makeup kit, and various assorted items one might need for a con. It got heavy, but everything fit, and I love all the merch so much that I don’t mind at all.
Where I got everything under the cut!

Dsmp and Hermitcraft buttons by @linktoo-doodles (I lost my c!Nikki pin at the previous con I attended, which prompted me to get this bag in the first place so I’d never lose a pin again. I’m so incredibly sad I lost it and whenever linktoo opens her store again I’m immediately buying a new one)
Vsmp buttons by Kuranberii on Etsy (I squealed in happiness when I opened this package, they’re so cute)

The bag itself is the Y2K Angel Wing Ita Bag from Rainbow Smile Store on Amazon.
I love this bag so much, and highly recommend it. It feels very sturdy and keeps its shape, has so many places for keychains and a decently sized pin pouch, and holds a lot of weight very well. The wing accessories the bag comes with are easily removable. It can comfortably fit a standard Nalgene water bottle standing up, or a slightly longer water bottle lying down. Don’t get this bag if you’re looking for a backpack - the listing says you can do it, but from experience the more weight you put in it, the worse it functions as a backpack. It works really well with a single shoulder strap, though the straps are rather slippery (as is the bag’s texture itself) so adjusting is hard, and you may want your own strap or to attach a grip. I got this bag primarily because of the handle, as I have back problems which make backpacks and shoulder straps not ideal, and absolutely love holding the bag like this. Despite the weight, the handle is very comfortable and feels secure, and doesn’t make that clicking noise like a lot of other ita bag handles do. As of writing this, the pink version that I have is sold out, but it also comes in black and purple!

Tagging @kingnaomis @cherryseed7 @cryonically-preserved-loser for previously asking where I got everything :)
It was wonderful meeting so many fellow mcyt fans at the con, I had an absolute blast running around with you all and giving out stickers and ribbons!
I know reblog so much vsmp bloodletting but v!Abolish is still my favorite singular vsmp character. I think about him all the time. I love him in canon, I love all the various AUs people have made for him, he fits so perfectly into the mold for characters I like. He’s kind, he’s ruthless, he’s tired of his job. He’s barely holding himself together at all times while trying to be professional. I think he deserves a gun and also a few years of vacation.
I’ve had the bag for a few weeks now but I’ve finally gotten around to taking photos!
Here’s my new Vampires SMP ita bag! Specifically Owen, Legundo, and Abolish, with some others sprinkled in.
Here’s where all the merch is from!
(Same disclaimer as last time, I’m an adult with a disposable income, all money was spent responsibly)
The bag itself is from Kinotastic / Art by Kino, and it’s absolutely amazing! I got the matte version and really love the look and feel of it, everything feels well-made and sturdy, very worth the price in quality. The straps clip on and adjust well, and the handle is perfect for carrying around with no bad clicky noise! As a person with back problems, I really like how this bag fits and how easily it can be carried with the handle. There’s lots of room inside for anything you may need every day or at a con, and it’s reinforced enough that the bag isn’t going to sag with the weight while wearing it. I’d been looking at and saving up for this bag for a while before I finally bought it from the artist at a con - I wanted a nice ita backpack that actually holds its weight and will last a long time, and this bag is is perfect for that. It also looks great with my vsmp merch, and I especially love the chains inside the pin pouch for hanging keychains! ! If you have the money for very nice ita bag, I highly recommend this one!
