Lent in Review: Meat
Lent has ended. What does that mean for me? Now it’s time to dig in the bulging bag of shame and see what my transgressions ended up being.
One of the absolute most difficult things to navigate for my personal budget and lifestyle was meat and meat substitutes. Co-ops often offer meat that can be packaged in butcher paper, but that often comes with slightly higher price tag than I can manage. I did my best to purchase less meat overall, and when I did purchase it I made sure I was buying more responsibly sourced meat. It may have come in a plastic package, but it wasn't jacked up on hormones. So we can call this a sort of win, maybe?
