Leo Fender died in California 35 years ago today, on March 21st 1991. He revolutionised music by creating affordable, mass-produced electric guitars like the Telecaster and Stratocaster. His designs are forever linked to artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Buddy Holly, David Gilmour, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bruce Springsteen and many others.
