it’s been 574 days since he last saw oli, and most of that was by choice. of course he also had the hockey season to keep him busy. leo isn’t even sure what the event is for and why they’d cross paths but of course it happens. he doesn’t allow him to stop and think about the song that was performed, because he knows it’s about him. 574 days and the love leo has for oli still hasn’t changed, his own cowardness not even being able to change that. the group he’s with wants to go over, the band being a favorite of a lot of people in the room. leo stays quiet while the others fawn over the group, eyes never leaving oli.

he has to admit that when he was first sent the article, leo honestly thought that oliver somehow forgot to mention that he would be seen with another actress. with everything he put oliver through when they were dating the first time, leo chooses to believe oliver. despite the dark thoughts that tell him it’s suspicious, he ignores it because oliver has never given him a reason to question anything. thankfully their game was home and he was able to drive to where oliver lives. “how’d the studio time go? finally record a happy song?”

“you know people might see.” leo had just finished a game, where he was close to being ejected for fighting. the last person he expected to see waiting for him outside of the arena was oli especially after the last few articles. not the best way to start off the new chance their giving themselves. “the mask and beanie really hide who you are.”
