I haven’t missed a day yet and we’re halfway there!
day 55 :: after our tour of the cathedral we ran into some other pilgrims and went to a local pub to have some patatas bravas and sangria. we played card games, told riddles, and enjoyed our day off. the people watching was wonderful: a barefoot bike riders pulling a dog in a cart with a cat on his shoulder, people we hadn’t seen for days who were ahead or behind us, some regular faces, some new faces, lots of sunglass and sock tan lines. two norwegian students joined us, and it was great to get to know two more people on this journey with us. as the sunset overtook the city it grew colder and we eventually gave up our table to get sweatshirts and some food before calling it a night and preparing to hit the trail again in the morning.
