Lemon! I don't know if you listened to/listen to Clairo (she can be guilty of whisper singing), but her latest album is produced by Leon Michels and he used to work with Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley! You might find something your speed, my personal favorite is Add Up My Love :)
Hello Ada!!!! Yessss! I must confess I haven’t listened to the whole album, but I’ve heard a lot of the tracks on my favorite nightly radio shows!!! I did know it was produced by Leon Michels of the El Michels Affair but I don’t know that I realized he worked with Sharon and Charles!!!! Amazing!!! Thank you for letting me know!!

Though much of her third album leans towards quiet introspection, Clairo continues to excel at creating pure pop bliss. The details of this album call for close, intimate listening.
Today Adele turns 35 (born May 5, 1988). The first time I ever heard here was on the videos she recorded at WTMD in October 2008. Here from that session is "Right As Rain". And now she is singing in Vegas.
