♡ + morals
send ♡ + a word , and I’ll write a headcanon / accepting .
Per general , Toma is a man who follows society’s standard set of morals . He keeps his lifestyle pretty strict on them ( e.g: doesn’t gossip , doesn’t vandalize property , keeps his promises , doesn’t cheat , treats others like he wants to be treated , is trustworthy , doesn’t judge , is dependable , respects everyone unless they show him he shouldn’t , is forgiving , etc etc ) , but there have been cases ( quite a few to be honest ) in canon where he’s simply disregarded his belief in some of the society’s morals to benefit him and / or not make him feel guilty about “breaking the set rules” .
For example , everyone who’s ever played Amnesia knows that Toma is downright obsessed with the Heroine and especially with her protection . During Diamond World ( his own route ) , he disregarded her need of privacy , personal space and free thought and locked her in a cage inside his home under the excuse that he was “protecting her” from leaving the house and meeting her end outside ( he had solid evidence to back up his thought line : hate messages toward her on a daily basis , people jumping to attack her with scissors or cars trying to crush them when he and the Heroine were out shopping etc , but still ) . During one of Joker World’s bad ends , he also killed the Heroine’s bullies , and proceeded to lock her in his house once more .
All in all , Toma acts with society’s morals in mind most of the time , but doesn’t mind scraping them if he finds that his inner morals ( which are 90% linked to the Heroine and her safety ) are better fit for the situation at hand . / @leonherz
