Zip and Shy Shy begging part 2:

I love these fish.

I grew up around saltwater and kept saltwater aquariums. When I was a kid I thought freshwater was boring. NOW I’m an exclusively freshwater keeper and waaaay into plants.

THESE TWO GOOBERS are the best! When I adopted them in 2017 they were somewhere between nickel and quarter sized. NOW they are as big as my hands and I am not a small person.

I just trimmed a massive amount of Jungle Val out of Zip and Shy’s tank. This tank never stops amazing me with its stability and output of plant matter. Every time I do a major water change I cut out ridiculously long leaves of Vallisneria and it just makes more and more. That single Anubias is also reaching record status. I really need a bigger setup for this community.

After years of effort on its part and lots of growth, what began as a tiny Anubias has finally breached the surface in the 40gal. I get it, Anubias. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
