Thank you to everyone who commented in their tags or messaged me. Indeed, today is “Martin and Bosco Day”. I originally whimsically blazed this photo on 13 July 2022. I never expected Martin and Bosco to travel so far and make so many new friends. The experience has been such a gift for me.

Forever ago, in the before times, I joined Tumblr for aquarium content. It almost sounds silly now since most of us on this beloved Hellsite are here for fandom content and not nearly as much for science/ hobbyist content. In addition to that my own posting has devolved to mainly reblogging things that make me laugh, BUT… a non-zero amount of you (certainly no more than THREE lolol) might be pleased to know my tanks are still very much alive and well! Here are a couple pics of my planted breeder from two angles and with two different lighting scenarios. I moved since last sharing aquarium pics and built a new stand for this one but it’s looking great! It’s a fucking jungle hahaha!

Over the years I’ve been removing larger rocks in favor of heavy wood and I really like it. It’s always a challenge to get it all on camera considering all the dark colors and the many shadowy hides.

This is Shy and they have lived in this tank since 2017. That’s right… 20fucking17. Shy was the size of a half dollar back then and now (and I’m not being hyperbolic) Shy is the biggest Leopard Ctenopoma I have ever seen. This pic is actually from 2021! I couldn’t get Shy to come out for picture time today. They come out to eat and then they like to lurk, stalk and stare. As soon as I can get a current picture I’ll post it, but Shy loooves hiding behind that huge anubias and wedging their self in the jungle val. I had two of them (Zip and Shy), but sadly Zip passed this year at the age of 9. Shy lives on, though. The big algae eater and rainbow fish being the only tank mates he can’t consume. Rest in peace, Zip.

I’ll post my small creature tank when I get better pics.
