¥ Drabble of an AU reenactment of our characters’ first meeting in a no-supernatural setting
Baelfire had told him to play nice, and at first, Ezra does. He pretends he doesn’t know half as much as he already does, his best friend doesn’t date, or well, not date some guy without him checking him out. For the most part, the guy checks out okay, there isn’t mountains of debt in his background, he isn’t on some predator watch list. When they converse he doesn’t come off like some snob and that makes Ezra almost like him. Only, two weeks later Baelfire comes over to his apartment clearly upset. He doesn’t tell him about the abuse, though he doesn’t have to, Ezra didn’t grow up with fucking Mary Poppins.
He goes over to his house when the pair of them are away and spray paints “Rapist” onto the front of his house. Now, he knows he’s not some rapist, or if he is he’s really good at hiding it. But guys like that you can’t ruin by destroying their cars or house, they’ve got enough money to fix that shit easy. No, you ruin their reputation. The entire fucking neighborhood can see, and the more he sees Baelfire abused, the worse Ezra gets.
µ Three things my character likes/dislike about yours.
Likes:
He’s not some dull guard. Some of them just look like grunts to Ezra, like walking idiots. Leo is far more clever, which makes him somewhat more appealing to Ezra.
He does his job. Some people in Covaire are far too content pointing their fingers to get things done, he likes that Leo actually puts forth the effort.
He’s attractive.
