To be honest, having fancy cakes wasn’t a priority in Penang where there’s cheap local kuihs around. Recommended this place (thanks @luvkkyy !) and thought I’d check out Penang’s cafe scene along with Chinahouse which was just 400m away (you can do both at once if you’re in the area). At Le Petit Four, the French cakes are well-presented, done simply and excellent in quality. I love how clean the flavours were without there being too many components and a big plus when the cake is not too sweet. The cheesecake was very smooth and there was the fragrant rose, raspberry and lychee flavours. Love the crumbly base.
