Sorry France I'm taking your bread to Italy… I have a french baguette pizza to make! This has minimal ingredients but still packs a lot of flavor. This pizza has olive oil, minced garlic, thinly sliced shallots, mozzarella (not in water), parmesan cheese and tomato sauce. If you haven't tried Trader Joe's tomato sauce, do yourself a favor and buy a can. I could literally drink that stuff. Cut the baguette in half and brush the halves with with olive oil (liberally). Then spread around the minced garlic. Next is the tomato sauce, then the shallots, and then the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the pizza with a little parmesan cheese and olive oil before putting it into a 425 degree oven for 14-16 minutes. When it comes out the oven, sprinkle a little more parmesan cheese and olive oil, and if you have it, throw some fresh basil on there too (dried works well). Don't stress if you don't have basil, it will still be good. I promise! Only advice I have when making pizza: Less is more. You don't need as much cheese as you think you do. If you can still kinda see the tomato sauce under the mozzarella before putting it into the oven, it's OK! (unless you like it super cheesy). Note: this baguette is leftover from last weekend’s french toast. That's all I got... until next time!
