Day 13: Puppet
Henry spends time in the pizzeria, talking to Charlotte, who was now a ghost within the Puppet. However, Henry never expects the ghosts to show themselves to him...
This is more of a bittersweet fanfic with talks of death and murder. I know this is tickletober...but I wanted a small bit of hurt/comfort here. The whole fanfic is not like that though. So if you still want to read it, read at your own risk. I hope you enjoy.
Henry was sitting with the puppet, talking somewhat to himself. He knew she was dead…he knew she couldn’t talk back to him…but…
He also knew that Charlie was here…He could feel it strongly.
Henry looked up as the puppet rose up from the music box. The puppet looked at Henry with its empty eye sockets.
Henry smiled sadly. “Finally decided to come out, huh?” Henry asked.
The puppet looked at Henry for a few seconds, before looking down inside the music box.
Henry slowly stood up. “So…do you want to talk about things? Or…”
The puppet shook its head.
Henry looked down. “Okay…” He sighed.
The puppet lifted its head back up and looked at Henry. It watched as Henry tried to think of what to say next.
“I…I’m really sorry I wasn’t there…” Henry admitted. “I’m sorry I didn’t find you until a few hours later…”
The puppet listened to him, not moving much…just listening.
“And…I really miss you, Charlotte. I miss you so much…” Henry admitted.
The puppet lifted up its arms, and extended them out to Henry. Henry looked up at the puppet, and smiled through his tears as he saw what the puppet was trying to do. Henry got up onto his feet and grabbed a pair of scissors from his pocket. He cut the strings that held the puppet in the music box, and picked up the puppet.
The puppet wrapped its arms around Henry, while Henry hugged the puppet closely to himself. “I love you, Charlie.” Henry told her.
The puppet rested its face on Henry's shoulder…
“I love you too, Daddy.” a little voice said.
Henry widened his eyes and removed the puppet from his shoulder and out in front of him. “How are you-”
“I’m right here, Daddy!” The little voice said again.
But…it sounded like it was coming from beside him. Henry turned to his right, and looked down. His face lit up and a huge gasp left his mouth as he dropped the puppet on the ground.
Charlie was standing there with her hair down, and wearing the same dress she wore the day she died. She was smiling at him, with her arms reaching out to him. Just seeing the arms extended made him remember when Charlie was begging to be in his arms at age 1.
Henry sobbed and cried as he knelt down to his knees. He started hugging himself tightly and doubling over as he wailed and cried hard. Every tear that left his cheek, hit the ground and created multiple little puddles on the tile floors. Charlie was hugging Henry as tightly as her little arms could. And the best part? Henry could feel her arms around him.
“I’m here, Daddy. I’m here.” Charlie told him.
Henry sobbed. “I…I’m sorry.” He whimpered. “I’m so, so, so sorry.”
Charlie gave her father a little kiss on the cheek. “I’m okay, I promise.” Charlie told him.
Henry sniffled. “No…You’re not okay. You’re far from okay…” Henry told her. “If you were alive, then you would be okay.” Henry told her.
Charlie smiled. “I’m not alone, Daddy.” She told him.
Henry looked at Charlie with confusion…then, he looked up and widened his eyes. There, behind Charlie, were 5 children of different ages, sizes, and looks.
Henry dropped his jaw. “You…You know them?” Henry asked.
Charlie nodded. She pointed to the first kid. “That’s Cassidy.” She said. She pointed to the next one. “That’s Gabriel.” Charlie said. She moved her finger to the next child. “That is Jeremy.” She told him. She pointed to the next kid. “That’s Susie.” Charlie said. Then, she pointed to the last kid. “And that’s Fritz.” Charlie finished.
Henry thought for a moment. He started to realize they were a bit…familiar. “Why do I feel like I know them?” Henry asked.
“They died…because of Uncle William.” Charlie told him.
Henry’s eyes widened as he felt the world slow down to a stop…He slowly looked at the different kids…and held his head with his hand.
Then, he remembered the Police…and his shock and anger when it was confirmed he had killed Charlie.
And then he remembered the police’s extra words. “I’m afraid your daughter was not the only victim…”
Henry couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t even think! These were them…These were the other innocent victims William killed…
Henry had to physically keep himself from losing his mind. William was even more fucked up in the head than he ever imagined…
Charlie looked up at her father as she backed up to be the shield for the victims. “They are under my protection.” Charlie told him.
Henry slowly closed his mouth and wiped his eyes. “O-Oh…”
One of the kids walked up to Henry, and curiously poked his arm. Henry looked down at the spot that had been poked, before looking up at the ginger-haired boy. “Hi…”
The boy tilted his head and looked at Henry. “Are you ticklish?”
Henry widened his eyes and couldn’t help but smile. They may be souls, but they are still very much little children…
Charlie laughed. “His belly button is really ticklish!” Charlie told him.
Henry looked at Charlie with a sigh and a smirk. “And that ticklish belly button happened to be passed down to the daughter…” Henry added.
All the kids laughed at that.
But one of the kids piped up. “We tickle Charlie all the time!” Jeremy spoke up.
Henry chuckled. “Really?”
Charlie made a mischievous smile before putting her hands around her mouth. “WHO WANTS TO TICKLE MY DADDY?!” Charlie shouted to the other 5 kids.
All 5 kids all started yelling “ME! ME! ME!” at the same time.
Henry widened his eyes and went visibly pale.
Uh oh…
All 5 of the kids ran to Henry and tackled Henry to the ground. Jeremy and Fritz headed to Henry’s feet. Cassidy sat beside Henry with her hands against his lower ribs. Susie ran to the other side of Henry and placed her hands close to his right armpit. Gabriel ran up to Henry’s left, unclaimed armpit and claimed it for himself.
And lastly, Charlie sat on Henry’s waist, ready to tickle him on his belly. “3…2…”
Henry bit his lip and squeezed his eyes shut.
“...1…” Charlie counted.
Henry held his breath as he anticipated hours of tickling.
“...1 and a half…” Charlie said.
Henry couldn’t help but laugh out of pure nervousness.
“...1 and a quarter…”
“Charlie!” The kids all yelled at the same time.
“Cohohome ohon, Chaharlihihihie.” Henry whined.
“Alright, alright. GO!” Charlie yelled.
Suddenly, all 6 of the ghost kids started tickling the tickle spots they wanted to go for. Henry was left laughing and giggling as certain spots were tickled more than others.
“OHOHOhoho geeheheheheheez! HAhahahAHAHAHA! Yohohou guhuhuys ahare goOOHOHOOD Ahat thihihihis!” Henry reacted.
Charlie smiled widely as she continued skittering her fingers on her Dad’s belly.
“Wow! He’s so ticklish!” Gabriel reacted.
“He’s more ticklish than my big brother!” Susie added.
“His feet aren’t really a good spot to tickle though…” Jeremy mentioned.
“Yeah…He’s not very ticklish here.” Fritz added.
“Try his toes!” Cassidy spoke up.
“Yeah, go for the toes.” Charlie encouraged. “Daddy used to REALLY laugh whenever I played ‘this little piggy’ with him.” Charlie told them.
“Okaaay…” Jeremy mumbled before moving up to the toes. He moved the toes back a little bit, and started scratching a finger horizontally under all 5 of the toes.
Henry wheezed and cackled. “OHOHOHOHO NOHOHOHAHAHAHA! NOTTHETOES! NOHOHOT MYHYHY TOHOHOHOES!” Henry shouted.
“Maybe I should stop…” Fritz said out loud.
“I’m not! This is fun!” Jeremy declared.
“He’s funny!” Susie said.
“He’s chubby!” Gabriel added.
“And his laugh is funny to listen to!” Cassidy added next.
“OHOHOKAHAHAY, YOU CAN STAHAHAP NOHOHOW! IHIHIHI NEHEHEHEED TO BREHEHEHEHEATHE!” Henry protested.
Charlie quickly threw her arms up. “TIME TO STOP.”
Everyone stopped right on her command. All anyone could hear now was Henry’s occasional giggles through his heavy breathing. He was tempted to curl up into a little ball and hide like a turtle. But he couldn’t with these souls attached to him.
Charlie laid down on Henry’s chest and wrapped her arms around Henry’s upper sides. “I missed you, Daddy.” Charlie told him.
Henry gave Charlie a toothy smile as he rubbed Charlie’s back.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Mr. Emily. Charlie told us all about you!” Cassidy told him.
Henry chuckled. It was nice to know he was at least remembered for being a good father.
“And Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza was awesomazing!” Susie added.
Henry’s smile lessened into a sad smile. He now felt partly responsible for inventing the pizzeria…because if the pizzeria never existed, then maybe the kids could’ve been saved…
Charlie gave her father a poke to the belly button. Henry yelped out of his thoughts and threw his head back with a guffaw. “HEHEY! Hahaha! Whahat was that for?” Henry asked.
But Charlie wasn’t smiling. She looked serious. “Their deaths are not your fault.” Charlie told him.
Henry widened his eyes. How did she know he was thinking that?!
Fritz looked at him with a sad smile. “I’m happy that my last memory was Freddy Fazbear’s pizza. It was fun while it lasted.” Fritz admitted.
“I really like Chica.” Susie admitted.
“And I love Freddy!” Gabriel declared.
“Foxy is my favorite.” Fritz admitted.
“Foxy’s cool. But Bonnie’s the best!” Jeremy added.
Charlie gave Henry a sad smile. “The pizza place was nice.” Charlie said. “And the creator…was even nicer.”
Henry smiled a little bit more upon hearing that. It was nice to hear that from Charlie.
Unfortunately though…he didn’t have the heart to tell them that he only made the first 4 animatronics. The toy animatronics that a couple of these kids may have seen, were made by William Afton…their killer.
So Henry just let the kids ramble on and on about the pizzeria for a little while. Though it was sad to hear that their last memory was at that pizzeria…it was also bittersweet to hear that their last day started off as a great day for them all. They experienced great joy by being at the pizzeria.
Well…until William came and killed them…
That part still hurt Henry. The man he knew and trusted for so long…ended up killing 6 kids, with Henry’s own daughter being the first. He couldn’t fathom how William lived with the dirt and blood staining his hands for so long…
With that all in mind…Henry decided to fix this mess. He would find a way to release the souls trapped in this building…and burn every living part of his past, until it’s just an endless pile of ash, blowing in the wind…
Let’s end this once and for all.
