Edgeworth and Wright sat together comfortably on Miles’ cushy love seat in the dark living room of his home — both of them resting their backs on their respective arms of the chair.
The prosecutor had a sofa, but he and Phoenix both agreed that the love seat was comfier, so they decided to share it instead.
That was the only reason that they sat together, of course. Obviously.
A so-bad-it’s-good movie played in the background — something about competitive break-dancing. The TV screen provided the only source of light in the room. There was a end table adorned with a lamp next to Miles' edge of the seat, but it would have been too bright to keep on while they watched.
Both men were wearing simple, comfortable pajamas — patterned pants and t-shirts.
It was a Friday evening, and the two attorneys were spending it together with intentions to have breakfast the next morning.
Edgeworth didn’t know how this happened.
He didn’t know how any of this happened.
Fic where Edgeworth is upset so Phoenix tries to tickle him to get him to smile? (Btw I love your writing, it’s amazing)
Miles had been pouting all day, and by evening Phoenix had grown tired of it. His irritated sighs, along with the mopey look on his face, were starting to rub off on him. Hence why he to do what he did best: bother him until he had no choice but to laugh.
"Hey, grumpy," he said as they sat on the couch together, watching old reruns of the Steel Samurai's first season. "Why the long face? You've been in such a bad mood all day."
"Hmph," Miles grumbled, arms crossed at his chest. Phoenix grabbed his knee with one hand and gave it a light squeeze. His partner let out a startled yelp that was very goose-like and jerked his leg up instinctively.
"Don't!" he said through gritted teeth. Phoenix grinned back at him.
"I'll stop if you give me a smile."
Miles's frown deepened as he turned his head away. He was committed to his misery, that was certain. However, his sour mood was no match for Phoenix's playfulness.
"Come oooon," the lawyer clasped his knee again, climbing further up his thigh until he reached a sweet spot that made Miles squeal. He lingered there for a moment, squeezing a little harder as his partner thrashed around. He tried pushing his hand off, but Phoenix's grip was like iron. Eventually, a crooked smile broke through his stony expression. He even giggled a little, albeit quite softly.
"There we go," Phoenix softened his grip and gave him a gentle pat on the leg. "Was that so hard?"
He expected a glare in return, but instead... Miles buried his face in his shoulder. Confused at first, he looked down and saw a blushing prosecutor trying to hide his fluster. It was so adorable, he couldn't help but smile himself.
He gave his knee another pinch just to hear Miles giggle into him one last time.
Idea:Lee edgeworth🥺👉🏼👈🏼
Miles was acting strange.
He had barely said a word since he'd unexpectedly shown up at Phoenix's office that morning, forgoing his typical grumpy muttering. The lawyer noticed his cheeks flush every time he looked at him, and he was fidgeting more than usual. He even caught him staring at his hands on more than one occasion.
Something was definitely up.
Of course, the prosecutor dismissed him when he asked directly, so he decided to use a “gentler” approach.
"Edgy," he teased with his much-hated nickname. "You've been acting funny all day. What's up?"
"I already told you, it's nothing," Miles replied in his typical tsundere fashion. He crossed his arms and furrowed his brows hoping to express his displeasure, but instead ended up looking like a little kid about to have a tantrum.
Phoenix slapped one hand across the back of his neck, which caused him to let out a frightened gasp. He had to have known what was coming next.
And yet, he did nothing.
He grunted as the hand on his neck started to squeeze, but didn’t do much else other than attempt to suppress his laughter. Phoenix wormed his other hand into his torso, wiggling his large fingers into his left side, and then his underarm, and then his other side. Miles spluttered and wheezed for a few short seconds... and then began to giggle. It was light and bubbly, the complete opposite of his stoic demeanor, and all his tension from earlier seemed to melt away in his smile. Phoenix soon found himself lost in the sight and sound.
“Ngh, gahaha! Nono, pleheeheease!!”
“What’s this? You’re not even fighting back?” He was just teasing, but his heart fluttered when he didn’t hear a denial in return. He paused for a moment and waited for Miles to catch his breath. The prosecutor avoided his eyes.
“Miles... Did you want me to tickle you?”
Hearing his first name (along with that word) made him blush so intensely that the tops of his ears turned tomato red. He turned his body away, but Phoenix gently grabbed his shoulders and pulled him back. He finally returned his gaze, and seeing the softness in his friend’s eyes spurred even more butterflies in his chest.
“You don’t have to say it,” he said with a warm half smile. “But I’m happy to do it whenever. Just tap me on the shoulder or something, I’ll get the hint.”
Miles suddenly choked, prompting a pat on the back from his companion. Saying it like that must’ve really taken him aback. Poor guy. He felt a bit sorry at first, but after a few minutes his companion finally spoke up.
“Speak of this to no one,” he ordered in a stern voice.
Phoenix gave him a sunny grin and one last poke in the ribs as if to say “your secret is safe with me.”
I don't mind! Would you consider writing a WrightWorth tickle fic?
While he was walking to court that morning, Miles nearly screamed when he felt a large, heavy hand slap the back of his neck. He recognized the flash of cobalt blue that appeared in the corner of his eye and started to protest, but before he could get a word out he burst into wheezy laughter.
"You look tense, Edgeworth! What's the matter? Huh?" Phoenix gently squeezed the fingers he had on either side of his neck while jabbing him in the side, causing the prosecutor to double over and cackle uproariously. He almost dropped the case files he was carrying in the process of fighting him off.
"Wrihihight! Stoooop!!" He managed to spit out in between goose-like giggles. Damn it, Phoenix was grinning just as much as he was. What a menace! If they hadn't been in public with several potential witnesses around, Miles would've killed him.
"Heh, sorry." Phoenix stopped tickling him, but kept one hand on his shoulder. Miles could feel heat pressing against his cheeks from the embarrassment. His brows furrowed as the involuntary smiled disappeared from his face. He could still feel the electric tingles shooting through his nerves. Why did he always have to mess with him like this?
"You're not sorry," he grumbled. "You liar. You criminal."
Phoenix flashed a cheesy smile that made the prosecutor roll his eyes. How immature. He was like a mischevious kid that didn't know when to quit.
"You got me. You just looked so serious, it's like you never smile on your own."
"You're a nuisance."
Phoenix tweaked his rib again, to see that dazzling smile and hear that goofy laugh one more time before it turned back into his usual stony expression.
And you're adorable, he thought to himself.
(someone sent in a request for an ace attorney drabble and I’m SO EFFIN SORRY I accidentally deleted it ;__; but here it is!!)
I see you used to write for ace attorney (I’m playing Dual Destinies right now, mildly addicted) so “stop poking my sides, you know I’m ticklish with the pairing of your choice ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Lighten up, will ya?” Phoenix elbowed his mopey companion’s ribs in a teasing manner as they descended down the courthouse steps. “We won. You don’t have to worry anymore.”
“It’s a lot to process,” Edgeworth murmered as he tried to stop himself from doubling over. He wasn’t in the mood to mess around, but Phoenix was as oblivious as ever. He started poking him over and over again, in different spots on his torso every four seconds, chuckling each time the prosecutor thrashed and jerked around. Being ticklish everywhere was a real pain in the neck, especially with Phoenix as a friend.
“Will you quit poking me!” He finally snapped as he shoved the defense attorney weakly. “You know I’m...!”
“You’re... what, exactly?” Phoenix gave him a knowing smirk, making it even harder for Edgeworth to spit out the last word in his sentence.
“Gah... you know what!” Edgeworth fought back a smile as the pokes continued, but Phoenix honed his focus and suddenly clamped both hands on his sides. He began to claw gently at his waist, digging into the soft skin while he howled with laughter.
“AHAHAHAHA!! Nghhh, stop, stop!! WRIIII-EEET!”
“This is the most I’ve seen you smile in years!” Phoenix’s own laughter boomed loudly while he tormented his poor friend. All Edgeworth could at that point was giggle and squirm uselessly as the spider-like movements hit every nerve ending all at once. The worst was when Phoenix snuck his hands under his arms; Edgeworth practically screamed.
But fortunately for him, it didn’t last much longer. The attorney backed off after a few minutes and allowed him to catch his breath. His face was beet red and his hair was plastered against his forehead, wet from perspiration..
“You’re... a criminal...” He complained, eliciting more belly laughs from Phoenix.
“Maybe so,” he said while putting his hand on his shoulder in a friendly gesture. “But if it means seeing you in higher spirits, then go ahead and arrest me.”
His last comment made Edgeworth’s blush deepen for a different reason entirely, and even he wasn’t exactly certain why.
