Sonic had no idea what he'd done to deserve this.
Actually—he had several ideas. He just didn’t think Shadow would retaliate like this.
“Yohohohoho!! SH-SHADOW!!” Sonic screeched, kicking wildly from where he was pinned under the Ultimate Life Form himself—who, despite being all broody and dramatic 99% of the time, now had the smuggest smirk on his face as his gloved fingers dug mercilessly into Sonic’s sides.
“You should’ve known better,” Shadow said coolly, as if he wasn’t absolutely wrecking the fastest hedgehog alive with nothing but ten fingers and a mission. “Calling me ‘edgy mcbroodster’ in front of Rouge and then speeding off like I wouldn’t catch you.”
“I D-I DIHIHIDN’T THINK YOU’D— NAHAHA NOT THEHEHERE!!”
Shadow had found it. That spot. Right above Sonic’s hips where the blue blur always lost it. Sonic's legs thrashed like crazy, nearly kicking a poor innocent bush nearby.
“You’re incredibly ticklish, you know,” Shadow mused, now teasing slow scribbles along Sonic’s waistline that had the poor hero howling with laughter. “It’s fascinating.”
“YOU’RE EHEHEVIL!!” Sonic wailed, tears starting to gather at the corners of his eyes. “TH-THIS IS A VIOLATION OF HEDGEHOG CODE!!”
Shadow raised an eyebrow. “I was not made aware of such a code.”
“YOU WROTE IT!!” Sonic gasped through a fit of giggles.
That earned a rare, quiet snort from Shadow, who—despite pretending to be all serious—was 100% enjoying this.
“Maybe next time,” Shadow said calmly, now fluttering his fingers along Sonic’s belly (which got him a shriek and a very kicked-up foot), “you’ll think twice before taunting someone faster than you.”
“FAHAHASTER MY BUHUHUT!!” Sonic tried to retort, but Shadow just gave him the look.
“You ran. I caught you. I win.” Shadow punctuated each sentence with a playful poke—side, side, tummy, ribs—which made Sonic squeal like a chew toy.
“ALRIGHT—OHOHOHOHO-KAHAHAHAY!!” Sonic cried, curling in on himself. “MERCY, MERCY!!”
Shadow paused, still pinning Sonic gently in place, watching as the other hedgehog lay there a giggly, panting mess with a grin stretched ear to ear.
“Had enough?” he asked, voice low but not unkind.
Sonic nodded furiously. “Y-Yeah... yeah, you got me, alright... jeez…”
Shadow sat back, crossing his arms. “Good.”
There was a pause.
Then Sonic grinned. A little too smugly. “...Still worth it though.”
Shadow blinked.
“Oh no you don’t—”
“EEEEP!!”
Sonic zoomed out from under him in a streak of blue, laughing wildly as he ran circles around the clearing. Shadow just stood, dusting himself off, already preparing Chaos Control.
(Let’s ignore the context behind this image and scene they’re simply hugging for no reason at all because silly family stuff. I’m delulu)
So I just watched Sonic 3 and my goodness that movie was actually really good. And only fed more of my fixation so take some silly headcanons!! SPOILERS for some Sonic 3 things but I’ll try and keep it as minimal as I can…

-Lee🪶
-Okay we can all agree that this hedgehog is incredibly ticklish…
-He canonically gets giggly from puppy kisses all over his face!
-On the topic of kisses he get super giggly from them practically everywhere. Maddie sometimes will pepper his face in them and he just wags his tail.
-Bro. Is. A. RUNNER
-If he knows it’s coming he WILL try and get away. BUT he will let himself get caught most of the time on purpose because he enjoys the bonding and the laughter.
-He’s also quite a kicker too. He kicks so much little blue sparks sometimes come from his legs and lil paws.
-It’s a main happy stim of his!
-His favorite spots have gotta be his sides, face, and ears.
-Like if someone flutters their fingers behind his ears or heaven forbid scratch behind them. You will earn a SQUEAK and little ear twitches! But soon enough just dissolves into soft giggles.
-SNORTER!! He’s just a little piggy!! Especially when you get a good spot of his!! Like his ribs and underarms >:33
-I think that Knuckles and Tom are the ones that get him the most.
-Knuckles usually does it to get back at the blue blur for all the times he’s tickled him, or uses it as a training tactic.
-His belly is also quite the squeal spot for him. ESPECIALLY if it gets lots of raspberries to that little fluff.
-His quills puff up a little and just hugs onto his ler’s head.
-His laughter is VERY loud and usually has a hard time keeping it in….
-Such a sweet and clingy thing afterwards. Will be attached to you like a duckling for a few hours afterwards and hug onto you.
-Tom sometimes walks around with him clung to his leg and Maddie just shakes her head.
-Ler🪶
-OHOho this hedgehog is a teasy little MEANIE!!/lh
-Says shit like- “OHOHO!! Did I get a bad spot? Where? Right hereeeeee?!?” Meanwhile someone like Tails is just squealing his head off and pushing at his cheek.
-Does a lot of fast spidering and scribbling.
-He goes after anyone without any regrets at all. Literal tickle monster of the Wachowski house once he learned what tickling was.
-(Casually coughs about @sunsetsandsunshine’s fic with Tom and Sonic)
-Everytime he hears a new noise he HAS to call it out just to tease his lee further and call it adorable or silly.
-“Oh my gahash that was adorable! Can you do that again if I getcha rrriiighhtt…HERE!?”
-He’s the type to usually laugh along with the one he’s tickling the entire time. He just loves hearing them all laugh and finds it contagious!
-Once he fixed things further with shadow and had him join the family. (I’m delusional I can do what I want, let him be happy) He would definitely would have caught him up with visits from the tickle monster.
-Usually tickles Tails into stepping away from his inventions if he’s been working on them for too long and clearly needs a break.
-SHOCKS!!! This little shit uses little electric shocks to be even more of a tickle monster. Like he’s also ready tickling with his fingers and just sends low voltage shocks through his fingertips to make it worse.
-Even more so if he knows it’s a bad spot to really get em laughing.
-Expect a good hair ruffle after he’s gotcha good too.
🦊Tails🧡 70/30 Lee-leaning Switch
-OUGHH MY LITTLE BABY AAAAA-
-Lee🪶
-This poor little fox is the most ticklish little thing in the entire house.
-Agent Stone said it himself. He’s adorable.
-He laughs like an actual fox would! Along with his normal squeals and squeaks!
-His little nose twitches after a good while and it’s the cutest thing.
-His favorite spots gotta be his back and belly. Gonna get lots of double tail wags!!
-Although he likes his belly tickled he can only handle it for a little bit if it’s a full on wrecking because it’s also his worst spot!! He likes it the most when it’s gentle.
-Acts similar to a puppy would when getting scratches and wiggles there.
-Usually will squirm a LOT in his let’s lap but rarely make an actual effort to get away.
-The insides of his little fox ears redden once he’s embarrassed and laughing a lot too!
-Tickled silly by everyone because of how adorable his laughter is and just how ticklish he is too!
-Knuckles would simply pinch his side and his tail would puff up and nearly jump across the room.
-He WILL fly around the house in a tickle chase and hide himself in his tails afterwards. Either wrapping them around his torso or hiding under them like they’re blankets.
-SPEAKING OF! He will hide in the tiniest places wherever he can. Tom and Maddie are amazed by how many drawers they have found him in when hiding from tickles.
-Once teased he will CONSTANTLY be telling you to shut up.
-Poor thing can’t handle baby teases for the life of him. Just hides his face in his hands and wraps his tails around himself.
-He will get little hiccups after a while.
-Can NOT say the t-word. He straight up calls it that too. Thats the only way he will refer to said word. Makes his cheek fur pink.
-Ler🪶
-More often than not he’s the one being tickled but he does have his moments with doing it to others!
-Sometimes uses his inventions to his advantage! I feel like he would have built some small extending arms from his backpack with little hands. And having tiny feather extensions as well.
-He’s usually more gentle with tickles unless he’s getting sonic back for something or teaming up with knuckles or shadow.
-BIG nuzzler!! He usually just nuzzles his face into peoples necks and hugs them under their arms.
-USES. HIS. TWO. TAILS.
-He will just brush them up and down one of his brother’s sides and tummy while also going up and down their backs. It’s an “evil” tactic they have all experienced/silly.
-Way too shy to actually tease on purpose. Usually gives compliments and goes into facts and such!
-“Did you know that laughter causes a boost in serotonin and dopamine levels? OH! And that’s what makes you so happy when you laugh. Who knew!”
-Has little fox fangs! Rarely uses them but will just nibble on the side of his lee’s neck and bury his face.
-Will give the tightest hugs afterwards and gentle cuddles by your side.
-All in all is generally a really gentle and sweet ler. Although the second you mention tickling him in return he immediately stops and tries running away.

-KNUCKLES MY DUMB SILLY EVER RAAAH
-Lee🪶
-He’s so confident like WTF DUDE
-He will straight up ask people for tickles when he’s in the mood. Without any sense shame at all.
-“Excuse me! I would like to humbly request for tickles!”
-For the longest time he literally had NO idea what it was. Wasn’t something really brought up in his childhood. But soon learned once he saw Sonic tickling tails for the first time. Was explained what it was and loved it ever since.
-His favorite spot is his underarms! just scribble in there and you’ll receive LOTS of happy cackles. And the rare occasional tail wags.
-His worst spots however are his thighs and knees. Those are the spots that he will actually surrender and pound his fists on the ground for.
-The first time Sonic squeezed his knees the poor guy was kicked across the room against the wall.
-He will just rest his arms above his head and lay his head back.
-His laughter is generally soft and deep chuckles along with squeaks every now and again.
-Will sometimes challange Tails to tickle him and straight up hold his arms out. “I am proofed of this silly thing today.” He also uses it as an excuse to let Tails get him back for all the times he’s wrecked him silly.
-Ler🪶
-This guy…THIS GUY- He’s literally so unintentionally silly when wrecking someone.
-He usually states the obvious as a form of teasing. And even comparing people to animals or other noises and that usually does end up working. “You’re laughing quite a lot!” “You do seem quite ticklish!” “HAHA!! You sound like a mouse right now!”
-Like I mentioned previously he uses it as a training method at times. Sometimes to test endurance and how long it takes them to last until they burst into giggles. Shadow’s record is about 5 seconds. Sonic’s is 1. And Tails…poor guy doesn’t even have one.
-Doesn’t tend to use raspberries all that much but he is a nibbler!! Does little bunny bites with Tails on his tummy but big shark bites with Shadow and Sonic.
-On the rare occasion he will hide behind his quills and just pull them along side his eyes if he’s embarrassed. Usually if you’ve been getting
-He would as use his strength to pick people up ALL the time. Tails is often a victim of being held upside down and swung around like a little plushie before tickling him.
-Throws people over his shoulders as well in every way.
-Will definetly be making sure you can’t get away once you’re in his grasp. Sonic usually tries squirming away and just gets grabbed by his sides and dragged back.
-“The dishonor!! Just accept your fate that you’ve lost to me!”
-Gina get lots of noogies and movie time afterwards. Usually puts on a baking show or happy Gilmore and such.
-Just a big goofball that loves making others laugh.
🦔Shadow🖤 60/40 Lee-Leaning Switch
-Hey emo boy hey emo b- Anyways- SHADOW THE GRUMPY GOOB!!
-Lee🪶
-Okay this guy had no idea what tickling was until he met Maria. She maybe only did it a few times to him but just simply pokes and side squeezes. The whole thing was very confusing for him but he didn’t really complain about it.
-After making amends with everyone and joining the family he soon would learned what it was for real this time.
-He most likely would have gotten his side squeezed or poked in the back by Sonic or Knuckles. Simply jumping a little and raising an eyebrow. “What was that for?”
-He would have been left alone from it for while until probably asking one of them to do it again out of curiosity. And probably realized he liked it. He would never in his life admit that out loud. Never ever.
-His favorite spots are his sides and palms! Just gently squishing his sides or placing kisses or gentle traces on his palms make him all giggly.
-He usually doesn’t laugh all that hard and isn’t actually super ticklish but in the places he is you’ll get lots of chuckles.
-However his neck and paws are his worst spots! They make him snorty and dissolve into full on laughing. He can only handle it for a very short time however.
-Tails has maybe tickled him one time while Knuckles and Sonic get him more often. Sometimes team up on him to make him less grumpy. Which it does work more than half the time.
“Ah ah I see that smile! Come on let me seeee!” -Sonic
“Nahat a chance…” -Shadow
-Denys enjoying it even when he’s full on smiling ear to ear.
-Ler🪶
-This guy is generally a silent but deadly kinda Ler with his brothers.
-He hasn’t really done anything with Tom or Maddie yet but secretly hopes hell be able to one day.
-TELEPORTS!- This little monster will cheat in chases and teleport in front of or behind someone to gently squish their sides or tackle them.
-He sneaks up on people and just scares them like he’s in a horror movie. Usually softly smirking to himself. Like that one scene in the third film.
-He usually doesn’t pick on tails that much but will give him the occasional gently poke to the back or side to get his attention. Or to give him a small smile.
-Sonic and Knuckles are his main targets when he gets the occasional Ler mood.
-“You really thought you could escape the ultimate life form? Oh Please…”
-Will so casually shaking his hands into one of his brother’s worst spots while they’re cackling and not even being fazed at all.
-Will just hold his Lee bridal style and wiggle his fingers against their ribs and sides.
-He doesn’t really tease very much and is either really gentle or REALLY wrecking you mean and silly.
-Loves running his fingers through peoples hair or quills afterwards. He likes the soft feeling and it was something he used to do to Maria.

General:
He gives 50/50 switch vibes
This boy is just happy to be happy, whether it be by giggling his quills off, or wrecking one of his fellow mobians into oblivion.
Lee:
His lee moods are INCREDIBLY obvious to everyone in the house.
He can just ask for them, of course, but there are signs.
He'll make more provoking jokes, try to annoy one of his siblings into tickling him, or just lie in one of his parents' laps and raise his arms.
Worst spot is his ribs. He'll flop around, wave his arms, do anything to try and deal with the tickly overload. Of course, he loves it when he's tickled there, but he can't control his instincts.
Melt spots would be his belly and ears. He loves getting his stomach gently traced or nuzzled, and some ear scratches would make his day.
You cannot say this boy wouldn't love cheer-up tickles.
Bad dream? Stuck on a math equation? In a rotten mood? Some gentle tickles will turn his frown upside-down.
Plus, he loves tickles from either one of his parents. If he's missing his first home, Maddie and Tom are there with a blanket, loving reassurance, and tickles to lighten his spirits.
Ler:
He's such an eager ler, but still respectful of boundaries.
If he jumps the gun and makes someone uncomfortable, he'll immediately stop and apologize.
If you want to be tickled, however, he'll light up and get straight to work.
He usually won't go for your worst spots for very long. He wants to make sure that you both have fun and is careful not to overdo it.
Of course, he will target them if he knows you like being wrecked.
And, obviously, he's a snarky little goober.
“Oho, it tickles? That's kinda the point! Still cute to hear you say it, though.”
“Little tickle here, and here, and— oh, bad spot? I'll remember that one for later…”
“Your laugh is so fun! You should let me hear it more often!”
“You can try to run, but I'm the fastest hedgehog alive. A chase would be fun, though.”
He's a saint with aftercare.
He'll zip to the kitchen to get you water, snacks, ice cream, whatever your tired, tickle-drunk heart desires.
And, of course, all the cuddles you could ever want. Well, as long as you want them. If not, he's content to respect your boundaries and grab you a nice, soft blanket and stuffy to chill with.

General:
Shadow gives me ler-leaning switch vibes. He has to be in the right mood to be touched like that; his ler moods are more frequent.
He hates admitting it, but he likes tickles. Like, really likes them
He just finds them to be so fun.
He still has it in his head that they're childish, though, so he won't admit to anything.
Lee:
When he does get lee moods, it's usually a result of him feeling extra touch-starved
The Wachowskis have been trying their best to help fill that need, but sometimes a good tickle is the only thing that will fully cheer him up.
Maddie is the main person he allows to tickle him. She's patient, understanding, quiet, and asks before she tries anything different: who could ask for a better ler?
The others are fine too, of course, but they can be too much sometimes.
Worst spot is his upper back, specifically between his shoulder blades.
His laugh is SO DIFFERENT from how you would expect it to be. It's bright, higher-pitched, and super giggly (see Keanu’s for reference).
Maddie accidentally discovered it while giving him back scratches. She thinks it's adorable, but she won't tickle him there unless he asks or gives her permission to.
Melt spots are his ears. He'll lean into any gentle tickles there, and he gets really cuddly. If you're quiet, you can hear him purring the whole time.
Ler:
You're telling him he can get back at the other mobians without hurting them? And they laugh? AND they (usually) learn their lessons?
Count him in.
He’s a VERY respectful ler. If you tell him to stop, he stops. If you make a safeword, he’ll wreck you silly until you use it. If you ask for gentle, cuddly tickles, he’ll trace your favorite spots until you’re a giggly, sleepy mess.
He’s often caught breaking up a wrestling match between the other mobians, typically using tickling as a way to get everyone tired out and getting along.
He’ll deny it, but he enjoys making the others laugh. It’s a way for him to remind himself that he can do more than cause pain, and that chaos doesn’t always have to be a bad thing.
He mainly wrecks Sonic, either because the blue boy asked him to, because he’s being a little shit, or simply because he wants to. It depends on the day.
Not super teasy, but he can be rather sassy with his lee if they try anything
“And where do you think you’re going? I remember you asking to be tickled, and I said I would. I’m a hedgehog of my word.”
“You should try laughing more. You’re much less annoying when you do.”
“Hmm, cute. Wonder if I can make you do that again…”
“Oh, you hate me? Fine. Guess I’m going for your worst spot.”
While he could be a bit better, Shadow does his best with aftercare.
He’ll get you water, of course, and possibly a bag of chips if he can find one.
After spending more time with the Wachowskis, he grows more comfortable with the idea of cuddles. He’ll curl up in your lap, and since he runs hot, it’s a nice, cozy way to relax after a giggle-fest.
